ALSO known as febrile convulsions are due to high grade fever. Best is call an ambulance and try to reduce the body temperature, by applying cold sponging preferably to head as these convulsion initiate from the brain, and can result in brain damage.
Once the Paramedics takes over and the patient is discharged from hospital, ensure he takes his medication e.g phenobarbitone are given on regular avoid him from taking candies (ice) etc. Preventive side is of utmost important till the child has reached the age.
