Canada and the U.S.A. are quite different, even though on the surface they appear similar.
Both are democratic societies, but while the U.S. has two main political parties, Canada has four. The system of elections is also different, and the justice system is more formal like that of the U.K.
Both have many immigrants from all over the world, but in the U.S. the immigrants are more assimilated, while in Canada they retain their old world culture and dress. i.e. while U.S. is a melting pot, Canada is more of a stew.
Hand guns are mostly prohibited in Canada and very strictly regulated for collectors and others who are allowed to have them.
People in the U.S., sadly, tend not to think about Canada (or any other country); while Canadians like to tout superiority over americans and make fun of them for ignorance. (Which in fact, is from lack of exposure of canadian things, while canada and other countries are greatly exposed to all things American).
Canada is metric while the U.S. uses a modified Imperial system of measurements.
Canada has socialized health care, which means everyone can get health care. While U.S. health care tends to be of better quality, what good is it if you can't afford to see a doctor or go to a hospital?
Lots of other subtle but important differences between the two countries.

1- Straight forwardness, up to being rude. Dutch immediately come to the point of business. No hours of small talk. We Dutch like it that way, others may find it rude. 2- Would you like some coffee? Dutch always offer coffee (or tea, less often). Doesn't matter what time of the day it is. If you arrive somewhere 6 AM or 23 PM, they almost always will ask if you would like some. Accept if you feel like it, decline if you don't want any. If you, out of politeness, decline, you won't get any. We can't read your mind. Say what you want. Coffee is usually served with a small biscuit or cookie. It is quite rude to pick more than one. 3- Make sure to leave correctly. Dutch are friendly people, but it is very rude to stay longer than is planned. If you are invited for coffee in the morning, that means you leave before lunch. Or in the afternoon, you leave before dinner. Or you are invited for drinks after dinner. But not, unless specifically invited, show up for coffee in the morning, hang around until they are forced to offer you lunch. Nothing impolite here towards you, it's just the way people behave. 4- Regular meals Most Dutch have breakfast around 7 AM, lunch at noon and dinner at 6 PM. Those are pretty solid times, though many will deny it. Just keep that in mind when visiting someone or making appointments.

The difference is Canada is passive and the USA is agressive.
There is a total difference between our 2 nations.
The USA is Canada's brother, who at the same time is also the bully of the school.

THE difference?
One is spelled with all capital letters?
Perhaps a deeper question would warrant a deeper answer.
