It is against the rules to have a gun on the Va Tech campus... that was supposed to make everyone feel safer.
I'd feel safer knowing that those with concealled weapons permits were exercising there 2nd ammendment rights.

If you're considering on purchasing a firearm. May i suggest that you take firearms training as well as self defense classes. owning a firearm is a major personal responsibility and you must practice self discipline on when or when not to use it. That's why i also suggested that you take self defense classes as well. I hope this helps you in your decision making. Just remember owning a firearm is an immense responsibility and must be fully respected at all times. Use your good judgment. Good luck and Godspeed.
To cgiv76: Did you ever practice real law enforcement while you were a cop? Or did you just wear the badge? By the way smarta55 i don't watch the news. They're full of crap most of the time, just like you. you want to help end alot of that stuff you just listed? Help us get rid of the Federal Reserve and IRS. Or are you too shallow to see that as well?YHSWH!!

Ok...I've just noticed that EACH of your terrible examples are situations were there was ILLEGAL use of a firearm.
Proof-positive that laws don't work.
The term "owning" a firearm is a legal process that all law-abiding citizens follow. You can either "own" or "posses" a firearm.
There's a law that already makes it illegal to posses a firearm within 1000 feet of a school. Did the law work? Well, sort of...It worked in HIS favor. Nobody else could defend themselves. What if the first room he entered had 3 to 4 people that carried a concealed weapon? First, any death is unfortunate but I would be willing to bet that he would not have killed as many.

I feel a psyhcological test should be passed along with a competancy test before you are allowed to buy one.
For those allowed to own guns, if they choose to own a hand gun it should not have to be concealed. Good gun control is putting the rounds into what you are aiming at.
The problem is not the gun. It's people. Every female could be a prostitute. But doesn't make them one automatically.
Look up how many people are killed each year by cars. But the only people who want them outlawed are tree huggers.
Cars, guns, knives, or clubs, it still required a person to kill with them. Maybe we should make people illegal.

Your question is unanswerable, because of the fact it incredibly is predicated upon an incorrect premise. i'm no longer particular the way you arrived at your premise, or your phony reason-and-result technique, even though it incredibly is definitely fallacy. i ought to in ordinary terms as definitely ask you: "Do boats sink because of the fact the sunlight is warm, or is the sunlight warm because of the fact boats sink? you haven't any longer shown reason or bring about the two case, and because you have reversed the order in the reason and result, you have additionally no longer shown the two premise. on your "further information" you extra assert: "maximum firearm vendors are the two pudgy and shapeless, or outright fat." you say it incredibly is predicated upon "actual international observations" -- even though, in the event that they are YOUR observations, then i will in basic terms counter via pointing out which you haven't any longer quantified the quantity of assertion you have surely executed, or in spite of if different factors would come into play which you have the two by danger or intentionally no longer taken into consideration. hence, your fact of "maximum" is unsustainable when you consider which you have given no physique of connection with the quantity of your assertion, and your accusations of having a miles less-than-beautiful physique type smack of veiled insult with none valid premise by any ability. you particularly wasted some time with this troll question. i ought to declare you wasted mine, too, yet I won't, because of the fact I voluntarily chosen to spend this time relaxing myself answering you. even though, you're actually not an fantastically efficient troll, and could incredibly evaluate taking on an uncomplicated activity, like attempting to stuff a Fisher-value around peg right into a Fisher-value around hollow.

No matter what side of firearm laws you're on...there will be pro and con sides to the issue.
Despite the fact that there are laws in place to restrict firearm possession and ownership, there are no "sure fire" answers to what we should or shouldn't do.
My suggestion is we learn to vent our frustrations and anger non-violently!!

I think owning firearms is fine.
Think about this: One person legally carrying a concealed weapon could have taken this dirtbag out and lessened the death toll yesterday.

I think every law abiding citizen should have the right to own one if they please..We can't blame the actions of a mad man and criminals on the guns..
Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

Look at all the people that die in drunk driving accidents?. How many children are abused everyday?. What are the rights of a rape victim?. How do you feel about it?, or do you just live newscast to newscast?.
