Benedryl is generally pretty safe to use without danger of addiction. It is what doctors most commonly prescribe to children for sleeping difficulties. Many adults with serious sleep disorders don't find it effective, but if it's working for you, be thankful. If you have concerns about it, please consult your doctor.
It's excellent that you've started exercising. Try to do your exercise early in the day rather than just before bedtime. Late night workouts can just amp you up and make sleep more challenging.
Try to find some ways of managing your anxiety. What works best for me is to write about everything in my journal. Once it's on the pages, I feel like it's easier to let it go when I need to. Also, setting up good bedtime habits can help. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time each day. Some people drink chamomile tea before bed; I like a cup of warm milk with cinamon :)
If the problem persists, see a doctor or a counselor. Not sleeping can make your anxiety feel worse, which in turn could make your insomnia worse. If you find yourself in this cycle, talk to a professional.

I drink lots of caffeine during the day and I too have problems sleeping. 2 tylenol PM should help you. That is what my doctor told me to take if I didn't want a prescription strength med.

Root cause of all anxiety and restlessness, fear hath torment problems, is the law, your own legalism. Law is abusive and destructive, not helpful and constructive as grace is.
http://www.godshew.org/ShewBread9.htm
Natural cure: flax seed oil capsules; no side effects
(if on pharmaceuticals, wean off such for 21 days)
Spiritual cure: flush law as dung for grace is sufficient.
When healed, remember words of JC to man & woman:
"sin(law) no more", notably lest a "worse" thing happen.
Worse? Seven spirits in Revelation should ring a bell:

The GRACE of our Lord JC with you all. Amen.

It awful when you lay awake thinking of everything that is happening in your life...Nights can seem such a long lonely time. Try thinking about somehting you like - maybe holidaying or visiting love ones or going for a walk. You could also try singing your favourite tunes with your eyes shut...
Maybe some yoga exercises

Well if the problem continues I would suggest speaking with a doctor! Also the exercise should be a great way to relive the anxiety that is what I do! Maybe even venting to a friend or close family member of things that are bothering you! Even if you cry on someones shoulder just to let it out! Sometimes we need to cry! I'm not sure what happen to you to make this occur but it may help talking with someone and getting in to see a doctor because you don't want to continue bendedryl to sleep there are prescribed sleep aides as well as over the counter like Tylenol pm. I hope you feel better and try to sleep well!

dont' eat a heavy meal or drink alcohol 2-3hrs before bed. Ask your dr about lunesta, a safer sleeping pill that works and can be taken safely for up to 6 months. When anxiety finally subsides you will get back to normal.
