I have light colored skin and from my butt down to my thigh I have this patch of discolored skin and it's dark it looks like a tan. I think I've had it since birth what is it?

It also has like a rough texture like I need to exfoliate it which I have done in the past.
Can I get it removed?

If you are worried - which obviously you are then go see your doctor. It's all very well saying it's a birth mark but without seeing it or having medical knowledge, no one can really say

I've the equal thing on my leg however it's a scar from when me and my dad where putting up a new basketball hoop, one of the vital screws shot out of the gap and hit me within the leg, maybe it can be a scar, it is most commonly not epidermis cancer in case your health practitioner mentioned it wasn't, maybe go to a dermatologist, just right success hope I helped. :) God bless you
