No my brown eyed friend.
I love my Olympus OM2 SLR with all its fine lenses. If I were to get a digital SLR to the same spec I would have to pay out about £2500 - £3000, sod that!
I scan the images into my PC with a dedicated negative/slide scanner, it is rather a long process but is well worthwhile. I tittivate them in Photoshop them and have a good collection of all my travels, adventures and family. Fujicolor 400, OK!

I use both.
My lab roll volume is down over 60% from 5 years ago, though. Over half of the film I run today is from disposable cameras. Last month my lab did almost 15,000 digital 4x6 prints. which would average to almost 90 rolls of 24 exposure film per day. So people are still taking pictures, but the method of capture has changed.
Hopefully, film will be with us for some time to come.

Most professional photographers or photography students still use manual cameras. You have more control over how you take the picture and you don't run out of batteries as quick. Besides, a manual camera is good for taking a quick shot since you're just dealing with film exposure to light (which is incredibly fast) as opposed to digital generation of the picture.

NO!!!! I still use a Minolta X-700 Film (Analog(?)) Camera.
If we were the ONLY two stll using FILM; the companies would had stopped making FILM long time ago.
Have you seen what a brand new Digital or D-SLR camera like mine would cost now-a-days?

Nope! Lol.
My elderly, non-tech mother (who is also a non-photographer, lol) uses only disposable cameras.
I prefer digital, but still love my Nikon SLR, and I take it with me on outings, vacations, etc. For clear prints, and feel, there is nothing else like it ... even though I live, eat and breathe digital everything.

No I love my 35mm SLR. And I love waiting for the prints to get developed - it's all about the anticipation.
