Why is there so much raping, killing, slaughtering, war, disease, plagues,... in it ? Some christs are concerned their kids might pick up bad influence on tv, but the Bible beats them all...

The Bible is the story of man, with all its beauty and ugliness. These things that happened in the Bible are happening today and will continue into the future. The difference is the Bible goes on to explain the redemption of mankind and the return of Christ to make things right. Would you really like the Bible to be all about "goodie 2 shoes"? I am glad that there are rascals, sinners and doubters in the Bible, it gives me hope for the rest of us. God wins in the end, so there is a happy ending.

Can you read??? have you read the bible before or do you only know of people who have read it. The Blijde Boodschap is in Jesus who came to save our souls by dieing on the cross.

Yes, people everywhere throughout all time in and out of the pages of scripture have been very, very bad... but G-d will still forgive, because He knows people are hurting and confused.
