[...Christ loved the church, and he gave his life for it. Ephesians 5:25 ] [To the church...we always thank God for you and pray for you constantly. 1 Thessalonians 1:2 ] [Go out into the country...and urge anyone you find come in, so that my house will be full. Luke 14:23 ] [So warmly welcome each other into the church, just as Christ has warmly welcomed you; then God will be glorified. Romans 15:7] [Let us not give up the habbit of meeting together...but let us encourage one another. Hebrews 10:25 ] [Take the time and trouble to keep yourself spiritually fit.1 Timothy 4:7 ] ANY TIME I AM NOT SURE ABOUT WHAT IS PLEASING TO GOD I LOOK TO THE BOOK THAT HAS THE ANSWERS. TO ME IT SOUNDS AS IF GOD FEELS BEING A PART OF A GOOD CHURCH IS VITAL.

I don't think it's something to "make up." What really matters to God is your heart, and your relationship with him. We, as Christians, need the reinforcement and fellowship that church offers, but the act of going to church is not the most important thing. My suggestion would be to attend church when you can, but if you can't, watching it on TV is definitely better than nothing. Pray about it, and talk to Jesus, and you should be OK.

In the Catholic Faith a baptized individual must attend Mass every weekend, unless they are very ill. Attending Mass on all the Holy Days of Obligation are mandatory as well.
It's your conscience and that's why we have Confession. I don't think watching a Religious TV program takes its' place.
Catholic Churches, for instance, in my city, now offer Mass on Saturday evenings, and Sunday evenings (which they call "last chance Mass"), for that very reason you are talking about.
Go to Church, you will feel better about yourself.

well... ok there are a few benifits to going to church.
1 being edified taught something important from God's word
2 worshiping with fellow believers
3 finding accountiablity with people who love you and who you can trust to help you out when you've stumbled.
You cant get 2 of the 3 from the Tv. Now not being able to make church every week isn't a problem as long as you still get to sometimes. It's not about sunday in the building... it's about good solid relationships outside of that building on sunday. Just make sure you are spending good solid time with the Lord just you and him, that you are able to worship him alone and with others, that you have people in your life you can trust to help you in your walk with christ in and outside of the church service, and that you are being obeidiant to the Lord.
If God's telling you to adjust your schedule so you can get to church DO IT... don't worry if it puts you in a financial bind... GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU!!!

Well first and formost if you haven't accepted Christ as your savior you need to do that. But the answer to your question is no. God knows what is in your heart, you cant fool him. If you truly have the desire to be in church and for whatever reason cant, he knows this. But a TV show cant make up for the preaching of God's word and the fellowship with his people. You can learn from the right TV shows though. But if your new to the teachings of Christ be careful, there is allot of ungodly show and people out there to confuse you. Remember God loves you and has a plan for your life!

No...
There are actually 2 words that come to mind from the original language of the New Testament which are used to refer to the Christian assembly. The meanings of both imply being WITH OTHER CHRISTIANS. "Church" in the Bible NEVER means a building. MOST congregations in that time MET in a member's home. See for instance Philemon 1:2 We are also sending it to our sister Apphia and to Archippus. He is a soldier of Christ together with us. And we are sending it to the church that meets in your home.
Justin Martyr, a Christian writer of the second century writes concerning the "Lord's supper" that "a portion would be CARRIED BY THE DEACONS TO ANY WHO WERE SICK OR OTHERWISE UNABLE TO ATTEND." This indicates to me that if a Christian at the beginning of the church who unexpectedly missed the assembly could expect that they would be missed and someone would check on them.

No, God tells us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together. We're to attend church. Sure there are conflicts occasionally. But one should also have priorities. If you have to miss church ok, but if time conflicts are I would rather do this (sleep, go out with friends, etc) that's not valid!

All I know is that for Roman Catholics it is frequently explained that mass on TV is for those who are shut in - i.e. sick or disabled from attending mass.
I am sure that other religions (Christian or otherwise) have similar proscriptions or comments.
While religion on TV may suppliment your understanding in general - you can learn more of the Bible, Jewish teachings, or Muslim teachings - it is not a substitute for the feeling of community one gains by attending prayers at a mosque, a synagog, or a church.
And, finally, I find many televangelists to be little more than people engaging in what may appear to be religious activity for profit (note the word "profit" as opposed to "prophet) - i.e. making a buck.

Nope! Church is a model for the bride of Christ so we must attend the church. Watching TV program should be for non believers and believers can watch if they find additional time outside church

If you are watching religious programs thinking you'll be saved for that or even going to church you are wrong. You don't have to do either. As long as you believe in the Lord Christ as our Savior and not deny him then you will be okay. Just believe and pray.
