I need a theme that is subtle and not too outgoing, but really romantic for not only me but my guests. Any ideas??

season: autumn, spring, winter, or summer
hollywood glamour
four elements: wind. fire. earth. water.
zen
urban loft
picnic chic
rustic country
vintage hawaii
holiday themes if your wedding is close to Valentine's or Christmas etc.
seaside romance
earth friendly
"happily ever after" princess
victorian
english garden
tuscan
just to name a few...

The key is not to get crazy. Pick a theme and then choose 3 or 4 things that remind you about that idea (ie- english garden: teapots, topiaries, white gloves). Then repeat those things throughout the ceremony and reception. Choosing 14 things about english garden will get to theme-y and can confuse the eye.
Hope this helps :D

You don't always need a theme. Go with a pretty color scheme or something like that. Go to theknot.com for ideas! Congrats!

Cheerios. jk

Your theme should reflect a shared interest; travel destinations, musical genres or simply a color scheme. Details would help (place, date, budget, etc.).

Here is what I did.

black and ivory for the colors. (all the bridemaids and ushers wore black and white)
red roses for the accent (all the flowers being held and on the tables)
That was our theme..... SOOOO beautiful and elegant!
