Jesus Christ came, died on the cross, and rose again, for our sins. Do you believe that? If so, you are saved already.

Let's take a stroll through the Book of John, to relieve some of the stress of those answers.
Baptism by water and the Spirit, of course are required as part of becoming a believer. But please...do go and study over the Book Of John.

The Scriptures say that there is more to it then just believing.
Deeds & works ring a bell?
Joh3:16 "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life"
See the word "exercising" this is a verb which means action, doing. Also see Joh1:12 & Joh12:44,46.
I know he came, sacrificied his life so that we have the opportunity to live again.
He was the 2nd Adam. Adam was perfect & lost eternal life for us all, Jesus being the 2nd Adam, paid the ransom price & bought it back. For all of us humans, either living or dead.

Jesus is a name that is thrown around way too much to gain compliance from individuals that do not think for themselves. Jesus may have been a person who was crucified by Romans, but certainly wasn't proof of any kind of a higher power. Christians believe that by being good and accepting Jesus as their savior that they will be rewarded once this life is over. The true good in this world is done by good people who are good because they choose to be good, not because of an underlying agenda to be "saved". Christianity is the greatest cause of wars in this world, and the so called "christians" cheering on a war in the middle east is just sickening. Marx said it best "Religion is the opiate of the masses"

Yes, but it has taken nearly all my life to accept the fact of the Resurrection with out questioning and wondering. Then, I finally realized because Jesus was the Only Begotten Son of God, sent down from Heaven to save sinners!
Thanks be to God.

Yes I believe & if you do you are on the right path but it doesn't stop in the belief in Jesus Christ.
Your next step is to repent of your sins.
Get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.
Receive the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands.
As written in the Bible.
ACTS 8:14-17
14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Yes, I believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer, that the took upon himself the sins of all the world, and that he atonement for them and provided the way that we all can receive eternal life from his grace and love for us.
I also believe that I need to follow his commandments and live righteously. I believe that there is more to salvation that merely making a statement. I have to show it by my actions.

Shirley, I'm sorry, but that's the "Gospel Lite," as in like, "Diet Coke" instead of the real "Coca Cola."
Remember, even demons believe there is a god, and shudder. They know who God is and they know that Jesus came to die for our sins. They know He rose again. They know He is in heaven. They know He is humanity's savior. But they're not saved because they choose to live in rebellion (and probably for many other theological reasons having to do with the entities known as angels).
If you truly believe and love God, you will obey. You will love God above everything else, NO EXCEPTION. If you love Him that much, than everything in your life will be for Him, bar none. You will lay down your live for Him.
And if you're living in obedience, you will love others above yourself.
Obedience shows true faith. A simple prayer and belief that Jesus died for our sins is not enough. True faith leaves to a transformed life and to the process of sanctification.
Yes, we are saved by faith...but not by hallow faith; we are saved by true faith.

Jesus was a real man (fact) I don't however believe he was the son of god. I would be sweet to think such stuff but I just don't. At that time in history there was thousands of people like jesus saying you where the son of god was the thing to do.
