Yes. Even though you've graduated from high school, you're still a minor.

HOWEVER, you should check in petitioning for emancipation (the process for it varies by state). In this situation (and I RARELY say this) you would be good candidate for it. If it’s granted, then your parent would no longer have the authority to determine your residence.

In response to some of the other answers: There is no state in the U.S. where a person under the age of 18 is considered an 'adult' unless they've been emancipated in some manner, such as marriage or court decree, and even then they aren't an 'adult' they are an 'emancipated minor'. AND graduating from high school is NOT an emancipating event.

Check the state laws in Alabama, also how old is the girlfriend. It would seem unreasonable to force a high school graduate to move against their will. However, I doubt at 17 you are of age to enter into a lease or contract of any sort. Maybe you should ask your parents if they wouldn't mind your girlfriend coming to Michigan with you for the summer? Seems like you might be a little stuck.

I would sincerely go to the county juvenile dept.--and ask to be decared emancipated for this reason of finishing your education here at your school. Then I 'd hope you could line up a friends parents who would enable you to stay your senior year. Your parents will come around eventually. Hopefully a part time job would show your seriousness here. Also a confidential talk with your school counselor could really help. Your parents though may know you can't handle your self alone, if they have evidence, you may need a relative to step up and live with them. Its definitely doable!

Holy geez, graduated from high school at 16? Good for you! Different states have different laws. I left you a resource page of all the states and their emancipation laws.
Although, If I may interject...it might be cool to experience a new country for a time! Plus it may really boost your college transcripts and eventually your resume

Good luck!

No they can not physically force you to leave. No court would even dream of interrupting your very very successfull path in life you've started. Once you are 17 you may go off to college on your own, many freshman have not reached 18 yet. Simply state that you are going on to school and will not leave the US.

It depends on the state you live in. In Illinois and 17 a girl is an adult. Therefore, they could not force you. Im not sure though about anything else.
