You should shave all the way up. The itching goes away over time but using a new razor, a good shave gel and moisturizing afterward can help reduce the irritation.

It probably itches when you shave above your knee because you don't do it regularly, so when you do your legs may feel irritated and dry.

It may help if you exfoliate your legs first, using even just a loofa sponge & some body wash if you'd like. Shave with a moisturizing cream, and put lotion on after your shower. This way your legs will stay moisturized & smooth!

Unless you are a monkey you do not need to shave past your knee, remember as you shave the hair gets a little coarser so if you go past the knee you will be stuck and have to shave it FOREVER because you cut the fine hairs. Don't do it!

You're pretty safe just shaving from the knee down unless, of course, you wear very short shorts or skirts. The hair on my thighs is very thin so I rarely shave this...unless I've got an especially hot date that night. ;-)

Hehe... I agree with the first guy. Try baby powder to control the itching. It depends on what you are wearing. If you're in a mini skirt, obviously you need to shave it all the way up. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother if it irritates that much.

You should shave the spots that you have hair, where you would rather not have hair. If it itches after shaving, try putting on a light lotion afterwards. I like this stuff called skin milk body lotion. Its first ingredients are water and coconut oil. Smells wonderful and doesn't leave you feeling greasy.

I shave the entire leg. If that is uncomfortable for you, just shave up to the point that your leg will be sticking out of shorts or skirts.

Maybe you could shave just a little above your knee. There really isn't much hair past there, is there?

Just shave as much as you need to. WIll anyone see your hairy thigh? If so, shave it. Or maybe its not really that hairy, then dont bother. Do what makes you comfortable.
