and i have known him for a while. Problem is he seems kind of obsessed with me. He's nice and caring but i don't know if i should seeing as how he was/is obsessive?

That would be a problem. I know the feeling and it gets very annoying but if you want the relationship anyway then lay some ground rules in the beginning. I tell guys I hate when guys get obsessive and it has been a problem in the past for me. That would be up to you and him whether you can take it or talk it out with him. Though if that is something you do not want to deal with then don't get into the relationship.

Dealing with guys who are that clingy is not good, or fun. If you're the kind of person who enjoys a bit of freedom, and you don't like having to explain everything you're doing in detail don't even think about getting serious about this guy. Chances are high that he will be as you said obsessive, and possesive too.
You can always express that you are to be trusted & feel it would be healthy for both of you to have "me" time, etc. However, if he's as obsessive as you say he is, he may say that's ok, but his feelings will still be evident, and may still bother you.

Here I thought girls liked clingie needie guys. He is probally obsessed with you cause he likes you, and since he has known you for a while he is itching to get to know you better. Just like almost all urges, once you satisfy them they arnt so urgent :P

well, my friend did that and he ended up being a stalker...so be careful...she still cant get rid of him he calls, text, walks, everything....BE CAREFUL....
