No different. Other mass murderers of students have been Anglo Saxon Americans, and that didn't affect my racial attitudes either.

The same as I always did. Koreans are *people.* There are good ones, there are bad ones, there are crazy ones. Just like any other group of people. The Columbine kids were white protestant Americans -- does that mean all white protestant Americans are bad people, mass murderers? Of course not. And the fact that the VT shooter was Korean doesn't mean Koreans are all bad, either.
This has nothing to do with race or nationality -- it has to do with a PERSON doing something insane. Koreans certainly aren't the only ones who do that...

Peace.

I don't have anything against Koreans as a whole. If I did just because of the VT shootings, then the rest of the world could justify hating the US just because of the fact that we produce more serial killers and mass murderers than anyone else.

hi,
how should we feel? he was a human being just like any other person? because his eyes slanted a different way than yours should we have condimed him? because he spoke a different language should we have him committed? he was just a human being like those people he killed. there was a reason why to those killings and it may have died with him but there was a reason for it all. what i am saying is this sort of thing did not happen because he was a Korean of American statious. it has happens with Whites, Blacks, Chinese, and several others races. should we think different of those also or is it okay because they may have came from American maybe even born here, even though they are different. i think no less of him then i do anyone else, i do wonder what caused this. i do wonder why this has to happen. i do wonder what now, how will the family's of these poor soul get pass this.but think badly of him no i wonder what was going on in his mind as he did this tragic thing. i also know that those who died were received by God with open arms, my love and my blessing go with them.

This individual was not representing the culture or ideology of Korea, or of Koreans. He did not kill for the "glory of Korea" and I'm sure all sane Koreans are feeling shock and horror right now.

The only thing I suspect is that possibly the Asian tradition of sending a lonely child off to America for an education while the parents live half way around the world can be very emotionally damaging for a child. All the asian cultures do this, and it may have contributed to this man "cracking"

I have nothing against Koreans, but I do think our government needs to put a stop to all immigration, until this country is back on track. It does amaze me though that this guy gets to go to an expensive college and live in a beautiful house and he isn't even a citizen, I seriously doubt that I or my children will ever get to live like that and my family has been here for generations. The government don't seem to care about its legal citizens.

I figure we now know of two (2) crazy Koreans. This idiot who shot up VT and the one running the North Korean government. Outside of that, I'm willing to be that their ratio of sane to crazy people is roughly the same as it is in the U.S. Actually I'll bet its lower because they probably don't overmedicate every little issue that may come along. But I digress. The amount of crazy people is, in my most intelligent opinion, proportional to the number of people. The more people we have the more crazy people we have. Its not really brain surgery.

Doesn't change my opinion one bit. The shooter is not an example of all Koreans. Never judge someone based on one part of their character and/or person. My local convenience store is run by Koreans, they work hard, have an excellent store with a good selection of items & competitive prices and always friendly when I shop there.

I cant hate all Koreans for what one idiot did. The majority of killings like this and others (Serial killers, Mass murderers, Spree killers, etc...) even the last school shooting at Columbine are usually done by the Anglo Saxon.

You should feel the same way about them as you did before this happened. It was not all the Koreans that caused this, it was only 1 person.

I don't feel any different about Koreans. After all, Americans do the same kind of thing, think about Colubine. I think the individuals are evil, but do not base a whole race on one person.
