Chicken, if taken out of the saran wrap and styrofoam and placed in proper freezer bags, can be kept in a freezer for anywhere from nine months to a year. However, I usually like to use mine up before then, no more than six months.

As long as the chicken is properly sealed and stays frozen it will last forever. We have chicken in the freezer from 3 years ago and it is still good.

The answer depends on the container the chicken was froze in and the amount of air/moisture in the container. I have a vacuum sealer and I keep most things up to a year. These are the hidden things though because we don't usually keep food around that long. I have dates on all the bags.

If you've wrapped it up properly, you can eat frozen meat up to one year after it's been frozen. Anything after that is questionable. Also remember that once you've defrosted the meat, cook all of it. Refreezing is dangerous.
