as u are fair, with not much of a base tan, i wouldn`t recommend using the tingle lotions yet...they are extremely powerful, & u most likely will end up with a nasty burn!!! australian gold is good, but in my opinion, there are some better ones out there...swedish beauty, pro tan & fiesta sun all make good products...probably u will need to increase the number of times u tan in one week, in order to get a bit darker, & then start using the tingle lotions...i have used tingle products exclusively for more than 5 years, & i won`t consider using anything else!!! i even use them for outdoor tanning!!! good luck & happy tanning!!!

Self tanner wont prevent you from getting a tan - just use it to supplement the tan you will be getting from a bed. Make sure to stay moisturized because that is the key to a healthy, long lasting tan. I recommend buying a lotion that your tanning salon supplies, however any good moisturizer is better than no moisturizer. Tanning lotions just have an accelerator in them that creates a faster tan. If your foundation contains any SPF, I would get some makeup removers that you take with you when you go tanning & just do a quick wipe down of your makeup so your face tans along with your body!

first, the type of lotion you use depends not only on your skin tone, but also what you do or don't like and what kind of tan you want. Some lotions have ingredients that make your skin tingle and can turn your skin red for a few hours after you tan. These are usually labelled hot. Bronzers include ingredients that give your skin a slight brownish tint even before you are actually tan. Accelerators are designed to increase the amount of melanin your skin produces by amplifying the light on your skin. Some lotions have cooling ingredients that will keep your skin cool while you're under the hot bulbs. Most important is that you use a lotion that will hydrate your skin because hydrated skin reacts better and will take color better. The choice is yours.

I am fair completed and when I tan in a tanning bed I like to use carrot oil first. You can by this in Burts carrot oil daily skin care. it's at www.burtsbees.com. I put this pior to tanning to keep from getting extreamly dry and it also helps the lotions. I like demuim and diamond or the 5 bronzer that is in the same lotion company. I also like smoke the black bottle. You will have to find what works best for you but the carrot oil seems to make you DARK DARK fast.

Tanning is horrible for your skin... I use Jergens Natural Glow lotion it gives you a gradual tan and blends really well... but if you insist on tanning get something with a bronzer in it, but be careful not to go tooo dark or it will look a little orange against fair skin

Most tanning lotions do not work. & tanning beds age your skin faster. If you really want to get darker then in the summer put sun tan lotion on so you don't get burnt, & lay outside in the sun. If you do that enough in the summer then your skin will get darker.

don't tan. get a natural looking tan by being natural and going out in the sun. tanning beds are dangerous. try jergens natrual glow. its a lotion that is healthy for your skin and wont make you look ridiculous! dont use artificial sun!
