I saved something on a disc. I know want to delete it but it's not letting me. Is it possible? Or do I have to destroy the disc?

If you saved it on a CD-R disc, then you can not delete it. Unfortunately, CD-R are "write to once only" disc. As soon as you wrote the file(s) onto it, that was your one time of writing to the disc. After that you can not change the disc. You can not add, delete, rename, etc. It is a limitation with all CD-R disc.

Yes, you could delete something saved. I do it all the time. All you have to do is click the right button on the mouse and this square of words will show up. One of them is delete, then just click on it. So that is how I delete saved things.
