i see a lot of christians banishing people to hell and so forth, then say atheists are bashing them.
the ribbing goes both ways, we all know this.
it seems a common belief among christians that atheists have no place on R&S conversation.
believe it or not there are people who are not theists who enjoy the logical debate, find it interesting, if not frustrating also.

just you shut your mouth!

hahahaha bowie reference, sorry!

Anyway, yeah...... i think that most christians believe that only religious people are allowed to post in R&S. Many of them don't realize that it's an open forum where anyone can post their questions as long as it's related to the topic. I think that if they want to talk to fellow christians they should sign up on a christian forum instead of coming here where free-thinking is allowed for all, even non-christians.

I have to admit i've succumb to the "ribbing" of some christians, but only when i get sick of hearing the same questions over & over again!

Q: Why don't you believe in god?
Details: He is all around us. Look around & that's all the proof you need.

Q: Why are there Atheists on the religion forum of Y!A?
Details: Does that mean that Atheism is a religion since they're here?

it's all the same thing from them, and they are not original enough to come up with their own questions. The fact that all christians ask THE SAME questions with just a different order of words shows me that they all think the same. What progress can a people make as a whole when everyone thinks the same way & they don't care about moving forward. They're stuck in time in this ancient religion.

I will admit that when I first came here I was a little confused as to why an Atheist would choose to be on R&S...but I didn't think they should not be here.
I think this and all of Yahoo Answers is meant for everyone, I just wish that some people would not be so immature.
There is so many inflammatory questions that people of all differing types ask, just to be rude and start a fight.

Edit: Ohhhh Neo....I am shocked...you sounded like you were being sincere until the phrase.... ALL christians ask the same questions....tisk tisk...I have seen MANY different questions on here from Christians, as well as everyone else.
Plus it once again goes both ways...how many times have we seen "Why are Christians so close minded?"..."How can Creationists be so blind?" etc etc....

I've had many "debates" with athiests. Most are not prone to logical arguments but rather emotional attacks. For example the idea that Christians are the ones banishing people to hell. Since Athiests appear to be unwilling to read the bible.. I will tell you this. We have no control over what God has already decided.

I would suggest you read the story of Abraham and the visitors who were on their way to destroy Sodom and Gomorrha. Abraham repeatedly begged for mercy on these cities. Was it just because his nephew lived there? I think not. Christians usually care deeply about those who are unbelievers. However unbelievers generally donnot care about Christians. (IMHOP)

definite he's a similar God. The bible says "i'm a similar the former day on the instant and day after today." And the God of the previous testomony grew to become into no longer hate crammed and vengeful, i think of an excellent form of human beings study into that, yet interior the hot testomony we study eternal fire and hell it incredibly is a lot worse than getting stoned to dying isn't it?

Always is good to speak about God with all kinds of people, God is the Creator of all men and Love all of us such as we are, we are brothers in God and isn't any reason to do bed one to others( for Gos is an nonsense to do bed, In God is place for everyone).
Isn't a sin without knollege( what the men doesn't know).

To the first responder - Not all of those remarks are made by atheists - the theists make their fair share as well.

To the asker - I agree. Being a non-believer does not automatically make you uninterested.

I think the magic phrase you used is "logical debate." It's hard for anyone one of any belief to get past bashing. And whoever response in such a fashion, they've wasted their breath. And that's kinda sad.....

There are really many immature comments on R&S though, and I don't think Christians are the only ones who don't like that.

No, I do not believe that. Atheists, as well as everyone else, are welcome here.
Those who seek to silence others will eventually silence themselves.
