My friend doesn't eat meat, but is not a vegetarian either. She does eat it if its minced and a component of some food. But never plain protein filled meat like chicken breast or beef. She doesn't eat fish. She eats vegetables (basically boiled, baked, pickled - not fresh... etc. with differet fatty sauces). She also eats rice, pastas etc. But I am concerned as it seems to me that this nutrition is somewhat plain. It looks like aditives to something that should be the basis of the meal, but I cannot of course make her eat what I find healthy. How do you see this diet?

everybody need protein - it repairs muscle and makes you feel fuller longer.
vegeterians eat soy products to get protein.
i didnt eat meat for a year and didnt get much protein too, so at he end i gained weight and my metabolism got much slower.

No diet is OK. All a person needs to do is eat healthy and exercise. Follow the food pyramid. Your friend sounds like she is not getting enough variety, and she is not getting much nutrients out of the vegatbles. Fresh vegtables or steamed vegetables are the best for you. When cooking fresh vegetables, most of the nutrients become lost unless you steam them. She should eat fish and meat as well. If she is concerned about her weight then she should try lean meat, like chicken and fish. Red meat has a lot of saturated fat in it that she may not want in her diet. Of course it is important to eat something with protein in it. Protein is very important.

Without knowing 100% of the details, its hard to say. There are plenty of protein sources other than meat. Milk, beans to name a couple.

you know Ur friend is u in fact, but u are shy, never mind . Ur diet is not good u must eat meat cause of Ur health. try this diet for a month ...... breakfast : yogurt and milk. lunch:don't eat ... rice ,bread,potatoes,.....NOTE:you have to eat fruits before lunch. dinner:(like break fast).nice to talk to u .
