Can you prove he DOESN'T exist?
Nope.
It's called a 'Faith' for a reason.
Even if you don't believe in him you cannot say he doesn't exist, that is merely opinion.
Personally I look around at this planet and everything and everyone on it and cannot see how it couldn't have been made by a master designer, but each to their own. If you think this all came out of nowhere then fine, it's your prerogative.
Just as I don't believe in many Christians who push their religion on people who don't want it I also think Atheists shouldn't push their beliefs onto anyone either.
Live and let live, if you don't believe then that's fine. There are those who do and find great comfort in it, let them have that. It doesn't hurt you.

YES!

If you are seriously seeking an answer to this question and not just posing a glib question to see the response you might get on this network you will most definitely find the answer here.

In this age anyone can now verify the existence of God on their own central nervous system. [The main reason why the media don’t tell you this is that they can’t make any money out of it and they would have to tidy up their act completely].

Within every human being there is a residual dormant energy that lies at the base of the spine in the Sacrum bone. (Sacrum – Greek meaning Sacred). When awakened it passes up the spinal column and pierces the fontanelle bone (at the top of the head, soft spot in babies). It then manifests as a cool breeze on the hands and head when the subtle system is in balance. [The Cool Breeze is created by the Holy Spirit reflected within the individual soul]. The individual may then ask any fundamental question and if it is true the flow of coolness increases if it is false they stop or become hot. With practice you can then verify if a news report on TV or in newspapers is true or not. More importantly if there is God or that Jesus was the Son of God. The very expression that we use when something is good, “cool” has come from the collective unconscious.

The process that triggers this step is called self realisation and this is exactly what occurred to Lord Buddha, he became an enlightened being which enabled his attention to reach more sublime insights into life. So one can see it is not exclusively Christian.

As it is a living process no belief is required and there is no money to pay, but one must approach the phenomenon with an open mind and then like a scientist evaluate the results with total honesty. If one chooses to forgo the opportunity that is also your right it is not something that can be forced upon anyone.

This process can be achieved easily and most major cities now have local centres where one can experience the phenomenon.

Finally, it is perfectly in order to approach with some scepticism provided an open mind is maintained but it is also most important to have humility and respect for what you are about to experience.

No, nor can they prove the non existence of God although its down to belief one way or the other. There are many things that go in favour of God, and if like you do believe, and believe in the spirit world you would understand, but for many no matter what evidence someone comes up with they always have an excuse for what it could be, but never what it is.
They say that it was all evolution, OK well I don't believe in the Adam and Eve story, but why can't God be the cause of evolution, there's nothing to say God did not start this, the trouble is to many people read and believe the words of man in a book, instead of using some common sense.
It says we are made in Gods image, but what is his image, its only man that has said it us as we are, could it not have been an energy source that when to of them got together it reproduced and evolution took over, can't prove any of this, just an idea, but prove it wrong

Bizarre that some here are claiming that proof and disproof of God are equally impractical. That's nuts, and I hope it's a mistake.

Disproving God is - like any other proof of nonexistence - logically impossible. There could in theory always be one more place where He's hiding.

But PROOF of God couldn't be easier, provided there was a little cooperation: God just has to *appear* somewhere in plain sight with enough unimpeachable witnesses. Popping up in the main hall at the UN would do it easily.

In fact a personal appearance, though desirable, is not even necessary. It would be enough, at the same venue, to have words like 'I AM GOD, AND I EXIST' appear spontaneously on one wall - ideally in fiery letters. Or He could just write something in character, like 'I AM THAT I AM' or similar guff.

That fact that no such solid proof has emerged in recent times - even though the Deity is supposed to have been quite chatty back in Old Testament days - suggests either:

o No such entity exists; or
o He's very keen to stay hidden for some reason that is inadequately explained in Scripture, or is so serious about this 'faith' business that he actually *prefers* people with the gullibility to take his existence as a given, and wishes to appear nonexistent to anyone with an enquiring mind.

Deities can do what they like, of course, but it seems weird that this one would take so much effort to convince those who go looking for the slightest hint of evidence that He ain't there. Apart from the rather lame 'faith' business, no good reason for this is obvious.

On the other hand, can someone actually prove that God does not exists? I can't prove love exists because it is only a kind of feeling that cannot be physically touched but I know it is there! God is love and if you admit that there is love, then God exists!

In concrete terms no. Only a certain amount of evidence to support a conclusion of a creator, a willfull intent.

Afterall, Ipods don't grow on trees and you can't make one by shaking a box of parts for centuries.

Science faces the same problem. If science makes RNA in the lab they face the fact that a WILLFULL INTELEGENT MIND created it.

They would have to do the Truman show to prove evolution.

Find a primordial muck on a totally inorganic planet, put down some cameras and then show us life spontaniously evolving and organic materials manifesting.

As for the religious, at "end of times" there has to be obvious salvation. If it doesn't come, then they were wrong.

If God does not come and take up the masses with a Book of Life, then the other side is proven right by default.

That's the two options. Science doing the TRUMAN show on evolution to prove it can happen with NO HUMAN or NO GOD present.

God coming in our darkest hour to take the survivors who are the best of the best away to a nicer place.

One of those two things has to happen.

Hi ibanez_256,

Most peoples concept of God is the creator of the universe. This means not just everything we can see, but the spatial dimensions and time that the universe exists in. If God has created these things, his existance must transcend them.

We are constrained to living within the boundries of the universe, so we can neither prove nor disprove the existance of anything outside it.

You can either believe or disbelieve, but you cannot prove or disprove.

If you are trying to decide whether on not to believe in God, no-one can tell you that - you have to decide for yourself.
Before you do, observe as much as you can about the world around you and consider whether it could have came to be without any external influence

It's difficult to prove we exist to those who would wish to deny our own existence for philosophical argument. So what kind of proof would be sufficient. If I told you of some personal experience you can simply deny it as you did not experience it. I could point to the experiences of others. Again you could simply deny it as you did not witness the event. I could point to the complexity of the universe and life itself and you can counter with naturalistic explanations although you would still not be able to account for the origin of life in the first place. I could suggest the big bang. Which there is now evidence for, you would be forced to consider the evidence and agree yes it looks as though the universe did seem to have a beginning. Then you would offer many variant theories to try and explain away the evidence of the big bang. Which is what some scientists are currently trying to do. The reason being they fully realise if there is a beginning then there must have been a cause.

I like the way you chose to use the word "someone". Yes....someone can without a doubt and with some effort prove the existance of God to himself. One only needs to read the majority of the lazy comments made by many who answer your question to see that someone cannot CONVINCE everyone else. The only one that can do that is God's son and he is very soon to convince everyone living that his father exists.

The evidence of God is actually overwhelming. The design in the self sustaining creation. Just look at the human conscience. The human brain. The fulfilled prophecy, the consistancy, and practicality of scripture.

Logic dictates that the God christians believe in doesn´t exist.

They will try and blind you with all sorts of answers which basically boil down to faith, but how can you have faith in the God described in the Bible. They have even come up with an excuse as to why you can´t see the face of God, a God so powerful he can´t tone down his appearance to make it possible.(Now why could that be?)

If there is a God, then it is certainly not the one related to in the Bible. I can not proove that there is a God, or if there is not. What i do know is that it is not the one described in the Bible.
