Should Christians who use make-up and beauty products make sure they are not tested on animals?

Would you search out stores that sell products that are not tested?

No comments about experiments for medical purposes please...that is a different issue completely.

This is not a joke question....i'm seriously interested on the Christian view on this.

Anything that tortures another living creature is wrong. It is an unjustifiable thing to hurt an animal just to see how it will effect their skin or eyes. If you think it might hurt there is a good chance it will. Food is one thing, but pure malice in the name of science is another.

I don't think this applies simply to christians, I think it should apply to everyone. I'm a christian, and I will not buy make-up, hair stuff or anything in which they test on animals. It's not because I'm a christian, its because I love animals. Its quite easy to find sites where they list products that don't do animal testing.

We take pills that were also tested on animals so......why bother?

Seriously, I am a Christian and I have no problem eating lobster or any other kind of meat that the Lord has provided.

If a product is tested on an animal....so be it.

check out this artical, it is a little off topic, weather hunting or selling pelets is un-christian. But i think you will see that all of the scripture, and the authors points will get you the same answers your looking for.

Bottom, line, its unchristian to hurt animals out of cruelty, but God put them here for us to use.

I love animals. Personally it would appeal to me to do this!

However, you asked about Christians! Please see what God gave Adam and Eve to wear after they sinned! That should give you a clue as to the divine opinion on your subject.
