I love it when people answer my questions like this. As ludicrous and absurd and harsh as my questions may be. It really draws out the people who seem to be only "God's children" in name and not in their actions. Just look at the above quote someone wrote. Is this how you show God's love? No wonder I don't want anything to do with people like that.

Selnyk, there is no easy answer for this. But I will say first of all that you are completely correct.
Jesus taught us that we are to bless those who curse us. He also taught that we are not to repay evil for evil. In other words, when folks purposefully insult us, we are to respond with words of love, not words of hate.
Having said that, I agree with "Primoa's" answer. If we didn't tell you what lies ahead if you don't repent, how are we showing true love for you? A Christian should never threaten someone with Hell, but instead use it as a warning. There's a very delicate balance and some of us do it incorrectly.

I really can't believe that you spend this much of your time demeaning a religion. If you don't like Christianity, why can't you walk away from it and leave it alone? I would much rather you spend your time doing something more useful. Go adopt a highway or volunteer at a soup kitchen. Make yourself useful. Get a job. Give back to society. If you intend to spend the rest of your life this way, I would rather you stop wasting useful oxygen. Even the athiests I know don't treat others the way you do. You are just a jerk that likes to get a rise out of people. Get a life!

As a modern, intelligent, free thinking, free loving, gay catholic man...I'm sorry you have been treated like you have...It's amazing how the same person can stand beside you in Mass every week, give you the "sign of peace" smile, talk, blah blah, till they find out something about you that they don't like, then you are a sinner, a blackhearted demon, who "deserves" to burn. The last time I checked, according to the Sister's in school, "we have all fallen short..." HELLO we are human!! LOL. Don't worry about them... It seems that the "pick and choose " christians, forget about the Gospel telling us, "Judge Not, lest you be judged..." A sister I knew years ago said its always safer for a Christian to put on the shiny armor of the "church" becuase all you did was to reflect everyone elses dirt, and hide your own..." You might be a "good" person, or a "bad" one...Regardless of how you feel in your relationship to a Godhead, you are still human, still a person, and I would treat you with respect...Have a great one!!

yeah, I agree. People are flaky, they are up today and down tomorrow, but don't stray away from God because of some human being. I think that's where alot of people get Christianity all mixed up, and don't want apart of it. But let me tell you every one who says tey wear the title as christian don't!!!! God's most important laws for man is love Him with all your heart, and then love one another. He didn't say love Him, love yourself and others. So that let's me know that God wants us to put other people above us, and therefore we can't go around bashing and hurting people with our words and not give them the love of God. Because I'll tell you, I was a mean, hateful, angry girl. But the love of God penetrated my heart like never before. So I know the power of God is real cause I see what He's done inside of me. So just focus on God, and not man.

I assume you are going to open your doors and start a half way house for murders and rapists who get released early from maximum security prison.
I mean, you have so much faith and compassion, it's the least you should do in life!
Should God show love to the boy who shot 32 innocent students yesterday. Should we say to a person like that, hey, cool, here's a free pass to see a movie, go have fun. You deserve it.
Maybe you'd like to have Charlie Manson and Adolf Hilter as your bunk mates in Heaven. Would you enjoy that! Sleep well at night, would you!
