I am a muslim, and will be to my dying breath. I try to debunk myths and stereotypes in my questions so that those who feel better about themselves after bashing us will see that what they've been told is propaganda and verses taken out of context. And, as my avatar indicates, I am very proud in the happy sense, not the vain sense, to be of my religion and who I am. Does your faith get bashed, and if so, would you like to post the facts on this question? Go for it. I won't judge, as I am not like that, and am very open to others opinions as well as learning about their beliefs.

Praise be to Allah.

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

" - Who is better in speech than one who calls (men) to Allah, works righteousness, and says, "I am of those who bow in Islam"?
- Nor can goodness and Evil be equal. Repel (Evil) with what is better: Then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate! "
[ Fussilat 41 : 33 & 34]

I ask Allah to bless all non-muslims with guidance and righteousness, and to bring them to the straight path, and to help us to call them and guide them to what is good and to make that count in the balance of our good deeds. Ameen.

Thanks for the peace promoting question. Blessed are the peace makers, for theirs is the kingdom of God.

Muslim is definitely misunderstood and stereo-typed religion...people take the actions of a few extremists and put that label on all Muslims.

I'm LDS... there are more anti-Mormon books than any other. I would say we are one of the most misunderstood and attacked because preachers of other faiths give sermons about how we are a cult... how we have horns and drink chicken blood... how we practice polygamy and worship the devil... etc. etc. which is all false. I don't understand way so many "Christians" hate Mormons(who are Christians btw)"

Most people are just afraid they might be wrong or that other religions make them wrong. So they go and attack. Many Atheists say there is no such thing as absolute truth and then say there is no god and can be no god.

So many are controlled by fear and led around on a leash by the Devil proclaiming to be more free than anyone else.

If everyone would just commit to simply not attack others beliefs this world would be a much better place.

I am Muslim and happily so. People want to bash it or me, that is fine. I could care less to be honest, I have always walked my own spiritual path without caring about the thoughts of others in this regard. If they diss me, I just as often manage to turn it into a happy little chat ... yes many times I have done that. Negativity... walk away. No one needs it.

However, I am still torn at times because 56 years of being involved with other spiritual practices that still make absolute sense to me, I have a few weak spots.

My only intolerance is intolerance when it comes to religion unless it is of the satanic persuasion.

Church of Reality.....

Never gets bashed except by people who normally bash people indiscriminantly A.K.A. holy rollers while i was a child they walked up to me and outright told me, "Your heart is as black as mud and only we know how to fix it" I thought the fool was cursing me in some funny way. Listen to how it sounds it's like they are trying to tell me that i am sick and will die unless i do as they say.... Anyway i beat the "explative deleted" out of them and ran home to ask my parents what they meant by it. Ever since then i have had a Flag in front of my house (not american, thank you very much) to keep the jeshova witnesses away (a symbol that distracts you from god) and have recently decided to leave a big gay pride sign in the front yard even though i am not homosexual but can still be gay(happy). That normally keeps the rest of the weird door knocking religious away! Not that i am against their freedom of speech but i am entirely for my freedom of privacy. Anywho, it is good to be proud of who you are and what you believe!! So just remember that everything you hear about people from anyone but them has to be taken with a grain of salt. Maybe they just didn't get the picture...

As far as faith goes.... I am an Atheist so I have faith in myself, in humankind and in knowledge. There is a lot of bashing from christians.... A LOT more than what they'll have you believe.... but it's alright... I take it in stride because life is too short to concern yourself with such trivial matters. I don't hate them for being arrogant & bashing what they do not understand.... I know that they are just misguided.

I respect your devotion and your efforts to bring your faith into a better light to contrast the propaganda. Most people attack what they don't understand because they do not even try to understand what is behind the propaganda. It's a shame because they surely are missing out on a lot.

7th Day Adventist. We go to church on the Sabbath not the first day of the week, as it is the 4th commandment. Our beliefs are from the teachings of the Bible. We go by the entire Bible, it states nowhere that we should dismiss the old testament. Our children as well as adults are not able to attend and/or compete in very many activities. It is a good lesson to understand God is more important than anything. We believe Church and the people here on earth will not get you to Heaven only the relationship you have with God, he knows our hearts better than we do.

I'm a taoist. I'm not aware of anyone 'bashing' my beliefs.

What is taoism? An appreciation of life and the natural.

"In these quiet years growing calmer,
Lacking knowledge of the world’s affairs,
I stop worrying how things will turn out.
My quiet mind makes no subtle plans.
Returning to the woods I love
A pine-tree breeze rustles in my robes.
Mountain moonlight fills the lute’s bowl,
Shows up what learning I have left.
If you ask what makes us rich or poor
Hear the Fisherman’s voice float to shore."

Well, I don't bash religions, but I tend to get upset with fundamentalism of any sort.

I'm a Wiccan, a former Christian. I try to give everyone a chance. I leave it up to them to prove their mettle. I like to learn about other faiths as well. I also try to dispel myths about my own religion as there are many who don't understand it and quite a few who propogate lies about it as well.

My library has many books about many different faiths. I prefer to learn rather than assume. In the end, I don't think that there is any single path that is correct over all the others.

Catholics and Jews have always been bashed. There are always people who will take verses out of context to use against people. It is a shame that muslims are bashed for the extremists that believe they should kill for the sake of Allah.

I am OmniReligious - I go to many different houses of worship, and in them I find the same undercurrent of Truth running thru their unique and individual beliefs and creeds.

I feel I have learned alot and benefited greatly from doing this.
