I always worry that as the coffin goes into the flames, I'll come out of my coma.

When you die in my thinking the soul leaves the body; so by the time you donate organs, or are buried or cremated your soul is no longer there. How can cremation be hell? If there is a hell it has hot spots on earth in the embodiment of evil, selfish people - devils advocates living amongst us who get joy out of giving pain and misery to people and animals.
Be kind, be good and you will get to heaven; so there is no need to even consider there being a hell.

I read a channeled book once (communicate with someone in other dimensions) that stated NOT to cremate until 7 days had passed because of what it does to the soul of the individual. I don't know if that is actually a valid statement or not but it sure makes one wonder.

Don't worry. You won't feel anything !!!!! Cremation is just destoying of the shelter in which your soul was residing for some time. It is done only after your soul has left it. So no probs. It is neither hell or heaven. Your soul has gone on a long journey destination unknown. Be relieved.

By searching the web I retrieved this article: "To Dust You Will Return" - When the first man, Adam, deliberately disobeyed God's command, He said to him: "In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken." (Genesis 3:19) When God made that statement He meant that Adam would die and return to the elements in the ground." Also, the New Testament says in Hebrews 9:27 And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. This has nothing to do with cremation damaging your soul or releasing it faster. You/I will returned back to dust but we will stand before God concerning all the deeds we have done in this body - If you accepted Jesus Christ in your heart - repented of your sins, acknowledged that God sent him - then you are a christian - and when you die then heaven is your home. But if not then you will enter into eternal damnation and that's hell.

Neither. It makes no difference to the soul, whether you are buried or cremated. When you die, the body goes back to dirt (buried or cremated, doesn't matter) and the soul returns to the one who owns it, God. There is no way you could make it go there any faster or any slower.

When you die your soul goes to wherever a soul goes to. Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, ladybug....who knows, but the energy that is your soul is no longer housed in your body. So cremation,or whatever is done to your body, has no effect on the soul because the soul is no longer there. It was released when you died.

Once you die you go to the same place Jesus did. You go to the grave. Even if you are cremated you will be in God's memory and he will raise you up in the resurrection.
The bible calls the common grave hell. Jesus went to hell as did Lazarus and they came back to life with no stories of a burning place.
Pray to God now. Get into a good relationship with "Our Father". Always saying your prayers to your heavenly father Jehovah and endiong through Jesus Christ, Amen.

as soon as you die, your soul is gone (to wherever you think it's gone, be it Heaven or Hell). cremation only burns the empty shell that was your body. it has nothing to do with releasing your soul or being Hell itself. they only burn your body for a few hours, not for all eternity. there are cultures that believe the body must be burned to release the spirit, but those are more primitive, albeit noble, cultures.

Cremation is the best way to go, because it is important to let the body return to its natural stage as quickly as possible.
The soul who you really are can not and will never be destroyed. It lives forever.

Cremation is only carried out on DEAD bodies. If you believe you have a soul, it will be long gone before your body is cremated.
