That's right. It's the criminals. I remember now.

Gosh. It's no wonder criminals LOVE gun control laws.

What's better than an unarmed victim? Sweeeeeeeet.

Arundhati, your premise makes no sense.

Are you saying that the ability to defend yourself, is EXACTLY equal to being defenseless?

Strangest thing I've heard in a long time.

Furthermore, cops DON'T travel in pairs.
I've travelled EXTENSIVELY in 47 U.S States and Canada, and 99.9% of cops are on solo patrol.

I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I think you should reconsider your views.

You forgot the tyrannical government trying to intravenously feed us despotism while we lay in an apathetic coma under the guise of democracy. Other than that............I think we would have less criminals if we ever decided to go after the real ones.

Virginia Tech had a "Gun Free Zone". To the shooter, that meant target practice. Gun Control fails every time.

It is the Government that fears an armed citizenry....the saying " I Love My Country but Fear My Government " has all too true meaning.

All victims are unarmed for all practical purposes.

Query: If someone came up to you and said "Hi, how's it going?" then then reached around and pulled a gun on you, what would you do? Let's assume you are armed. Do you honestly think that you can reach down to wear your gun is, draw it, release the safety, point it, and fire before your attacker twitches his finger? Damn, you must be fast!

Gun or no gun, you're still dead. You can try to defend yourself but likely all that will happen is that if the gunman decides to let you live, you can pull your gun and fire on him after he is running away. It nasty to admit, but sometimes you just can't defend yourself.

Guns are *offensive* weapons; they are used to attack, not to defend. If you are armed are aren't makes no difference to an attacker. That's why police officers on duty travel in pairs. A cop that doesn't have someone to guard hos back when he goes into action is crippled . . . he will be no better able to defend himself than anyone else.

P.S. I am not pulling this out of my ****. I know someone who died of gun violence. His gun did not help him.
