Start watching Judge Judy, Judge Joe Brown, People's Court so you learn this is what you should not do.
Men are suppose to take care of women. Women are not the ones that are suppose to shell out money for a man. Come on ladies, let's get it together. If a man can't afford his own phone then he shouldn't have one.
You basically sold your body to get money from him for the cell phone. Now when you look at these words ... this is pretty sad.
If he is taking you to court for the money you borrowed, then you should also counter sue him for the cell phone bill. Bring all your paperwork to court with you so you have proof of all the calls he made on the cell phone, and have a copy of your cancelled check that you paid off the contract and a record of the 4 months he paid on the cell phone contract. In a court of law, he should he owed the money as he started paying for it and then he stopped.
I don't know if the money for the cell phone equals what you borrowed from him. If this is the case, then its a wash in court, but the judge would make the decision.
Good luck!

I don't think I would have offered to sleep with him to borrow money in the first place. You borrowed money for what ever reason on the premise that you would pay it back. I think you should show him the bill that you paid for him and ask him if you could keep the money to help pay you back for paying his bill.
But if you borrowed the money...borrowing means you intend to pay it back...you should pay it back.
If he does not agree he owes it to you then take him to small claims court with the bill you paid off for him and get your money back that way.
What it all comes down to is that I think you should be honest even though he is not being honest. You will have a clear conscience that way. Don't sink to his level...you won't feel good about yourself fo doing it in the end.
be cool...

Keep the money and let him take you to court if he wants to. It will be only small claims anyway AND verbal agreements DO stand up in a court of law. If not, speak now or forever hold your peace, and move on. If it were me, I`d ask for the phone back too!

OK....i like this one.....FIRST of all......do you have ANYTHING AT ALL in writing that YOU borrowed money from him?? If you don't then there's no record of it...but there is a fine line....in order to take you to court for his money HE needs money....a percentage of what he claims you owe him....and you likewise.....it will go to civil court....i've been there....then there's the fact that YOU took out a contract phone for him and it's in YOUR name....so technically you won't be getting a dime....because it was "technically" your bill....so he gets away scott free anyhow and you just paid court fees and the lot for nothing.......my advice to you honey is that you totally loose ALL contact with this OBVIOUS looser and go on with your life and consider it "your bad" for doing something nice for a scallywag like that!! Taking advantage of you because you said you'd sleep with him (what were you thinking anyhow?? never do that again...it always backfires!!)....learn from this and cut your losses! You can always make more money....but you only get one chance to build a good reputation!!

I'm not sure I understand, is the contract in your name?? If it is, you might find you end up paying for it. The phone was a gift, the loan, was a loan. Chalk it up to experience, and move on.

What? You reckon he will actually take it to court because he said so?
Call his bluff, because he can probably only find the courthouse if he gets himself arrested and taken to it.
