There are many schools of thought on training dogs.
I would suggest buying a muzzle that fits for now. When the dog goes for a walk or you have people over and it wants to growl or act vicious put the muzzle on.
Also teaching the dog it's place in the family. Teaching basics like come, sit, etc. can be used when she wants to be vicious try and distract the dog by giving the sit command and then a small treat when the dog obeys.
The dog may just be acting overly protective of you so when others are around the dog feels like it has to scare people away. It is good that you are aware this behaviour should be corrected now that the dog is young.
Also there are good books out there if you don't have time or $$ to take a few obedience classes.

Cardigan Corgis are a heeler, a cattle dog, they bite the heels of the cattle to make them move where the farmer wants them.
You are going to have to be pack leader, when your dog acts agressive remove him from the room and out of sight of the people he is threatening. When he quiets, try again, repeat as often as it takes to get the message across that agressive behaviour gets him no satisfaction.
Visitors should ignor him totally, the full conventry treatment, no talking to him no eye contact, no offered hand and certainly no treats till he realizes they are none of his business.
Go to the library and borrow a dog obedience book with photos and step by step instructions.

My sister has Cardis and I assure you when one of them gets a Napoleon complex - well it will take some work, but her last rescue came around .....
Your best bet is a behaviorist or a GOOD trainer - ask your vet for a reference. They can show you exactly what you need to do and tailor things to YOUR dog making the a much better choice than a Internet list, book or TV show.....

I agree with the person that suggested the animal planet. I have learned alot by watching "The Dog Whisperer" Simple things he does can change your dog's attitude, plus have you tried contacting the owner of your dog's parents to see if the parents are aggressive? This should have been checked into before you purchased the dog. Good luck with your dog.
