sounds like the flu or similar virus. these usually take about 14 days to run their course and there is no cure for it.
if you are running a fever-it is very important to dress lightly and use only one light blanket-even though you feel very cold. the more blankets and clothing you use-the higher you will raise your temperature which will result in making you feel worse and make your body work harder at trying to get your fever back down.
for now
-rest as much as possible. this is your body's best way to fight off the virus.
-drink plenty of fluids!! this is the most important thing of all. being sick causes your body to lose fluid and electrolytes it needs to function. things such as water, gatorade, or sprite (or similar) are best.
-don't worry about eating if you don't feel like it. as long as you are drinking-you'll be ok. if you do eat, stick with bland foods such as soup, crackers, toast, rice, or jello
-take over the counter flu medications such as nyquil or theraflu to ease your symptoms. most of these medications also have tylenol or motrin in them to help reduce your fever as well so DO NOT take tylenol/motrin with them. and make sure to take your medication with plenty of water/gatorade or make sure you've eaten something small or the medication will upset your stomach worse.
-try taking a lukewarm bath-this will help ease muscle aches and lower your fever
things that require an immediate trip to the er are
-severe vomiting or diarrhea that won't stop (this will cause great risk for dehydration)
-feeling overly sleepy or lethargic (no energy to move at all)
-dizziness or feeling faint
-feelings of confusion
-changes in vision (blurriness or seeing spots)
-fever over 104.0
-no urine output for more than 12 hours
these are all signs of severe dehydration and you'll need i.v fluids to correct it
hope you feel better soon!!

I read both stories and both are absolutely sickening. I am glad the lad got jailed as it is rather rare for people to get jailed for animal cruelty. As for the young girl who was filmed abusing the dog, lower in the story her parents said they would give her a 'talking to' and ground. I'm sorry but that is not good enough - if that were my child i would take them to the local police station and insist the child was put in a cell for a good deal of time to realise where this type of behaviour could land them and give them an opportunity to reflect on what they did without any distractions. I would also give take the child to a psychologist to work out why they did such a cruel thing. Cruelty to animals can be a sign of sociopathy so i would hope i would never ever catch my son being unkind to an animal.

It could be a flu bug but this needs to be seen by a dr so since you can't get to the State hospital or one of the other drs check to see if there are any drs that offer free clinic services where you can go find out for sure if it is a flu bug. In the mean time keep to drinking clear liquids like water and eat other light things to help keep your stomach settled.

That sounds very serious! Being where you live, it could be a number of things from mosquito illnesses, meningitis, or just a nasty flu. I don't understand why you say "I can't go to state hospital, believe me, this is South Africa" - but certainly you can go somewhere - a clinic, shaman, etc?
It sounds like you need antibiotics and treatment that you can't do on your own. I really wish I could help you more.

Well being south africa, it is hard to pin point what you have caught. Sounds viral to me in which a doctor wouldnt help anyways. Doctors perscribe antibiotics for bacterial infections only. There is no cure for a viral infection, it just has to run its course. Lots of fluids and lots of rest honny will be the only thing to get you through this one, but if your fever keeps climbing you MUST go and see a doctor!

It could be anything from what you've said. Sounds like a bad case of flu, but could even be to the point of malaria symptoms. Just try and drink a lot of water and take lots of rest, but you might have to go to a state hospital if the symptoms get worse.

I think you have the flu. Keep nice and warm, drink lots of fluid and have plenty of rest. It is best to take paracetamol every four hours to stop the fever.

It sounds like you're suffering from a virus of some kind. The best thing to do, right now, is to take plenty of vitamin c. have a look at www.vitaminc.com
