I had the same problem and was told that the circles were caused by my sinuses. Being congested all the time prevented that area of my body to get adequate amounts of oxygen causing the skin to take on a bluish tone. I finally went to a doctor about it and was put on Flo-nase and was treated for chronic sinusitis. Now, my circles are all but gone and I can breath a lot easier too.

Sounds like allergies to me. Do you get bloating and gassiness after each meal you have? Do you also get acid reflux, belching when lying down at night and trying to sleep??
This could be as either a result of lactose intolerance or a improperly funcitoning digestive system. Either way, eliminate lactose for a week and diarise everything you eat and drink along with the time. Note down how you felt after each meal and you will soon pinpoint what is upsetting your system. A good way to aid digestion is to put two tablespoons of oganic apple cider vinegar into a glass of cold water and drink either during or immediately after each meal. The organic apple cider vinegar assists in the production of hydrochloric acid and refines the process for you.
Insomnia, headaches and migraines, digestive upsets, fatigue and exhaustion, irritability and moodiness and inability to concentrate, dizziness, depression and head and hand sweats?? These are all symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency. Jus go get yourself some really good quality multivitamin supplements with all the B group of vitamins contained in it - B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12. Don't buy synthetic vitamins as they are notoriously hard to digest. They are the really cheap ones. Expect to pay around $30.00AUD for about one month's supply. Don't buy the B vitamins individually either as they work best synergistically.
The B group of vitamins are a water soluble group of vitamins and therefore the body can neither produce or store them and we need to replace them on a daily basis. When are in stress situations our bodies will naturally use up more of the B vitamins and we therefore need to adjust our diets accordingly. Don't worry if you need to take 3 - 4 tablets when you're very stressed as the body will simply excrete what it doesn't need in your urine.
Eat more foods rich in this vitamin also:
Yeast, liver, eggs, milk , cheese and fish, kidney and pork. Recommended daily intake for adults is 2mcg. If you are a vegetarian and have excluded eggs and dairy products from your diet then supplementation for you is a must!!
Should you choose to take my advice you'll be more than pleased that you did as you're symptoms will all dissipate quite rapidly, within 2 - 3 hours!! It really is jus as simple as all that ....................:0)
PEACE 2 U

Seasonal allergies can also cause dark eye cirles. Do you have allergy symptoms? Try an over the counter allergy remedy. If that doesn't do the trick, see your doctor about a prescription one. Allegra is a very effective one, it works within a few minutes.
