Because if men will only be interested in women for that,only few women will have "a chance" ,as most don't have money to pay even their grave(but lots in fashion,investment on marriage)and they will raise their hate about such "injustice".Only rich women could choose young bucks,and men comply.For the same reasons that women are interested in men,not for the man alone,but for what she will consider hers by "sex fluids magic".But thanks to modern liberated women,now a woman can be as generous if she wants and anybody not OK with will be discriminating.

It's not really acceptable for a woman either...they get called goldiggers (especially if they man is rich and old) I honestly dont know exactly why but i guess it would have something to do with the fact that if a woman marries a rich man the women are jealous and the men think way to go and vice versa...hope you get your answer!

Personally, I find gold diggers to be repulsive of any sex. Money is not a big deal to me. If you've got it, great. If you don't. that's fine too. I find more things to fill my life with than pieces of green paper.
