If faith is evidence of things not seen and love is unquantified likeness, can one say that love is greater than faith or that you must have faith in a person or particular thing before loving?
How can it be applied in a church? In the church they say love is the greatest thing any person can give to each other. And that you must have faith for you to receive miracles from God. In practice, how can they be used?. Thank you.

Love is said to be greater than faith as according to Paul in one of his letter, when we reach heaven, we need not have faith anymore for we see God. We need not hope anymore for our dream and goal has been fulfilled, and hence love is all that remains. When it comes to your second point, we must always remember that it is God who loved us first that's why we can have faith in Him. How it can be applied in church - I believe that it can be applied in many situations. personally, believing that God loves me has eased me of my worries and anxieties knowing full well that He has a great plan for my life. I guess it is also true that love covers all wrong - this is especially applicable in forgiving people who have offended us. Not that we should tolerate the sin/ mistake - it is more learning how to show compassion, restoring the person who has hurt us and forgiving. When it comes to faith, i guess it can applied to prayers. When we pray, we believe that He'll answer our prayers. In some charismatic churches, this may also include the belief in the gifts of the Holy Spirit as being activated in faith.

The Bible says that love is greater than faith. Remember though, that is love as God reveals it, not Hollywood love that we get in the movies. God's love does not come from the person but from God when He resides inside us. It is automatic unless it is blocked by one or more of three things. If someone's heart is not pure, if someone's faith is not sincere, or if someone's conscience is not good.
1 Timothy 1:5 "But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith."
The idea of miracles being received through faith is really not a Biblical idea. We live in the age of faith, not sight (as your definition explains) so we do not live by the miraculous. Christianity is a way of life where we live normal lives by the power of God and the proof of our faith is righteousness not miracles.

It works like this. You become aware of a need. You are not clear about all the details of how to best meet that need. By faith you take a step in the direction you believe may lead you to your goal. As long as you don't settle for less than what you really need and want a clearer picture will begin to emerge. Once you are clear about what you need and want, you seek, ask, and knock until it happens. Be sure about what you want, if it does not conflict with your best interests, you will receive. 1 Corinthians 13 is known as "The Love Chapter." In it Paul describes agape (unconditional) love which all Christians are to practice. At the end of the chapter, he does say that love is greater than faith. Faith is belief, and love is an action.

If you ask me which is greater of the two, am dumbfounded. Yet....I have to say that faith moves God more than emotions.

They say "love covers a multitude of sins" ; But at the same time, faith that one is forgiven, removes all sins.
