I've been googling all over the place and I really can't find any information. I'm 5'5, 145 pounds, 36 B-28-40. The thing that's really getting to me is that I have 40 inch hips and I'm 145 pounds. I don't sit on the coach all day, I row two hours a-day, six days a week. Yet rarely ever get below 140.
I don't see a problem with the way I look, made a few here and there, but when I see the scale number, and my hip messurment, I freak. Am I over reacting?

Actually rowing works both the upper and lower body, and I run every day.

Look up your BMI (body mass index) on the Internet, and ask your doctor. Also try going to the gym and getting a personal trainer, they are very helpful!

36-24-36
your waist is 4 inches to big, your butt is 4 inches to big.
so here is what to do.
Hold your stomach muscles in at all times...it gets easier as the years go by, i do not even notice I am doing it,,,but sure notice when I am not.
Walking fast while swinging your arms will help, doing dancing helps, bending over, stooping down. If you flex your butt and see what you have to do to work that muscle then you will know what you have to do. If it does not move then you are not exercising it.

Your best bet is to seek out a personal trainer who will actually measure you and come up with your body fat percentage. Then and only then will you have an accurate barometer of how much you may need to lose.

Rowing only works your upper body, so maybe all your lower half is not getting worked out. Try running.
