Well some dogs don't do well on the highest quality food. Or maybe she just wasn't doing well on the top quality food you gave her. And most dogs love to eat lower quality food because often it's sprayed with fat or something else that tastes nice to them. If you're on a budget, the best cheapest high quality food is Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul. It's about $1/lb. The next one down is the dog food from Costco (if you have a membership). It's the Kirkland brand food, it's very very decent. Not much fillers and mostly good stuff. It's about $0.50/lb. It's much better than some of the brands out there like Pedigree or Beneful, etc.

Do not get concerned with what you may find on a list as some of the previous top ten brands got there due to advertising and ended up on the contamination list!!!
Look for a holistic food that does not contain any corn, wheat, soy, gluten or artificial preservatives or sugars. All these ingredients are common in most commercial brands of food.
Do research all holistic brands and if you would like to check out one brand that I use as well as compare it to other brands go to http://www.nancyshealthnet.com
You can compair this food to other brands right on the web site as well as learn about pet food by watching the video clip.
The main difference with this food is that it is fresh, shipped directly to you and does not sit on shelves in stores as it is not sold in stores. I know you may feel this is an ad as well but it won't hurt to look and compair-then make a choice that you are happy with. I use this for my three japanese chin all rescue and my vet has checked out this brand and now offers it in his office for no profit just to give a healthy choice.
You will learn alot on this site.

Check out Canidae, Wellness.. Any of those TOP foods. They cost more, but the dog eats less, they are healthier cause they get the nutrition they need and you see the vet less and you pick up far less poop!
I am not sure of the 10 ten foods recommended, or 10 ten ingredient wise.. But I do know that our dogs are doing great on the Canidae, eat less food, poop less, and they have energy, are happy, shiney soft coats, clear bright eyes, and don't try to snatch food from us all the time like they did eating other brands.
Avoid Ol Roy, ALL Purina, Beneful, Pedigree, Kibbles N Bits, Science Diet, Iams, Eukanuba..
Read the dog food bag!

stay away from natural balance right now. Just seen a recall on their food and it is making pets sick and causing kidney failure. It is venison and brn rice dogfood and another one. My personal favorite is the raw diet. Least my dogs wont get sick from food being contaminated.
Innova evo is another personal favorite of mine.

I don't know about "super premier" but the best dog food quality wise has been Pedigree my family has used and trusted it for over 3 generations. it is also reccommended by all our breeder friends
Iams and Eukanuba contain ingredients that will stunt the growth of your dog even though they claim to improve a pups "smartness"

you could try advance or purina pro or hills science. i strongly recomend the stuff that the vets carry. it is far superior to the supermarket stuff. it is alot more expensive but far more nutritious so they do not need as much and your dog will be in optimum condition. if you have to get supermarket food ty optimum by purina. best wishes.

My dog eats Purina One, large breed. He is awesome on it. It is more expensive, but worth it.
