Natalie is right! I can instantly tell if my client uses pantene. I can scrape the edge of my shears over one or two hairs and get these little "strings" of wax buildup! Also, if I use a hot iron on Pantene hair I can always tell by that burning wax smell!

I don't know much about Dove shampoos because they're too new on the market for me to have done much research. Garnier is a French line that's a lot like L'oreal. They have a professional salon line that's good (but only available in France, unlike the L'oreal Professionnell line in the US) and a grocery store line that's not so good.

The one grocery/drug store line of products I'd ever reccommend is Citre Shine. It's made by the Schwartzkopf company (a very high-quality salon brand), yet isn't watered down or filled with waxes and fillers like some salon-offshoot lines are. Citre Shine is better than a LOT of salon brands, let alone better than all drugstore brands! It's hard to find so you may have to shop around for it.

None of those 3 at all!!! I am in school for cosmetology and the product I like the most is Matrix! I use Matrix Biolage. The products that you get in the grocery store are not good for your hair first of all the pH level is too high, and secondly they do leave a waxy film on your hair. It makes it feel soft and healthy, but it actually dries your hair out. You are better off to spend the extra $ and get something that is actually helping your hair not hurting it.

Truthfully you shouldn't buy the shampoo from the store, you should get it from the salon. It is a little bit more expensive, but it is definitely worth it. The shampoo from the store has a lot of wax in it, which makes your hair feel soft, but it is just sucking out the moisture. Salon shampoo is the best way to go, because you can get moisture without damage.

The only way I would use pantene is if I am letting my hair air dry and not using any heating appliances (blow dryer, flat irion, curler). I think it like melts on my hair or something. NOT GOOD.

If you color your hair, using a sulfate-free shampoo is great for your hair and makes it look and feel unlike it's been chemically treated.

It's worth it to spend a little extra money and buy salon shampoos for the quality.

My favorite shampoo is brocato cloud nine shampoo and conditioner. I like to alternate, but if I had to stick with one brand this would be it. good luck

Dove

Pantene is the enemy in salons. A professional can look at your hair and see if you use pantene. If you do, she/he thinks to themselves, ugh, pantene hair. It leaves a film on your hair and it's gross.

I think garnier fructis might come out as the safest as it has virtually
no side effects!
