Atheists, do you know even one christian who has more peace and joy, even if you think they are a fool, than you have?

Not doing so good here folks. If what you have been taught is true shouldn't you be the light of the world? Especially to these who are watching so closely? I am not suggesting that what you believe is wrong, only that you have been deceived about where the power, peace, and joy are. Laser focus on Christ and nothing else will make you a reflection and a beacon to the world. Everything else that you have been thought is just commentary and speculation.

A very few are, but none are as happy as a typical dog. Think about it.

Actually, yes, I believe I do... Though I obviously have no way of being completely sure how contented someone is for a fact, and the individual I'm thinking of was going through a fairly hard time pretty recently. Her relative peace and joy in comparison to me is also in part because I'm currently on a plain in terms of joy (neither a plateau or a valley, but if geographic metaphors work in those cases, then they should in this one too).

The truth is we all have our ups and downs (except for me at the moment... Damn neutral state which lacks a definite name! *shakes fist*... Then again, I suppose I do have my ups and downs even now because this right here is a bit of a bump... But it's still MOSTLY flat). Except for this one person though the sum of my peace and joy is unequaled by my religious brethren in my immediate surroundings (again, due to the plain, this is mainly due to my massive amounts of peace, as the joy hasn't been able to compete as well recently, but I can avoid anger and make the best of situations far more easily than them)...

I don't however attribute any extra peacefulness, or even any extra joy I have to my atheism... If anything, my humanism makes me less joyful than most Christians because I actually care about those suffering at the moment, but a religious belief is capable of being just as concerned....

I guess I'm saying I've noticed no difference of any impact between myself and the Christians around me as a direct result of my atheism or their Christianity.

"In God's presence is fulness of joy." (Psalms 16:11)

Christians who experience the greatest measure of peace and joy are those who spiritually walk most closely with Jesus.

How many atheists like to hang out with Spirit-filled Christians on a regular basis that they would have an accurate perspective with which to answer this question?

No. I try to find peace and joy in every part of my life. Does it always work? No. But I've never noticed a faithful or "enlightened" person who really seemed like their life was more enjoyable or more fullfilling. And considering the negative side affects of faith....

No, the more I think about it, I can't say that I do. I'm largely content, while most of the Christians (and many of the former Christians as well) are constantly looking over their shoulder, as if God and his minions -- human or angelic -- were constantly watching to pounce.

Though no one can prove or disprove God's existence, our history reveals the unmistakable footprints of something greater than man.

Hi, I'm an agnostic. I neither disbelieve nor believe in God's existence. I have insufficient evidence so I draw no conclusion. I live my life in accordance with my own conscience. And let me tell you, I find true happiness in my freedom.

this might not be completely relevant but,

do you ever notice how christians "float" through life. it's like they live in this bubble that pops on the day they die.

realism allows me to find peace in my world, i am okay with only having myself to believe in, i do not need a god to feel secure.

I know very few people who are more joyful than I.

I do know some pretty peaceful and joyful Christians, though.
