To get the hair in the picture you will need use a no frizz balm/cream on damp hair, then straighten your hair with tongs, then use a curling wand on the ends or hot rollers .. not simple but looks good

Go to the hardware store and ask for a good mouse trap. That way you won't be bothered by those pesky little mice pissing in your hair. No seriously, consider a lite styling mud. Gives control without the stiffness of a mousse. Consult your local salon for a recommendation that best suits your particular hair quality.

Try a styling creme or balm. Mousse normally has alcohol in it, so when it dries, it makes your hair crunchy. KMS makes a great styling creme and all you do is rub it between your palms, "comb" it through your hair with your fingers, scrunch as it dries, and you're all set. Soft style with no crunch or frizz!

There's no way to make a natural wave like in that photo. You'd have to style it with a large barrelled curling iron, in small sections.
-Mouse helps hold the style, so use it while blow drying hair.
-Add a small amount of any type of frizz serum with the mouse.
-If you don't use alot of mouse, your hair won't be stiff.

use either these and I've used them all and worked all great for me. Garnier fructis sleek and shine serum, Paul Mitchell's super skinny serum, biosilk serum
