for all of the people involved in this terrible event. Thank you!
Will you agree with me in prayer? Heavenly Father, We lift up the families and friends of all who are involved at Virginia Tech today. Give them comfort and help them to deal with their loss and show them how You would have them respond to this. In the blessed name of our savior Jesus Christ. Amen!

Thank you to all who are praying...For those who asked about God being there...He was there....it's not our fault when people don't listen to His still small voice. In this world we are called to be His Hands and His Feet. Salt and Light.

Father God I lift up the families of those who died in this tragic senseless act, I ask God that you comfort them and guide them through their time of grief. Father for those who were injured I ask for a quick recovery and that the memory of this day be used to your glory. God for the students and faculty that watched and were not injured I lift them up to you and ask that the memories of this senseless act be short lived. Father I also want to lift up the community and the response teams as well as the hospital staff, I ask God that you also give them the strength and ability to deal with this not only now but in the days, weeks, months and years to come.
We ask these things in Jesus name. AMEN!!

Thankyou for leading us in prayer. The most we can do for friends and familys of these poor student victims is prayer. Thankyou for this prayer. Now there is investigations and to learn of who this person was to cause so terrible a tragedy. I think we all have serious doubts about how the person who already killed 2 people was allowed to remain on campus and kill 33 students in another building bulding 2hours later. I am outraged. A warning had to be delivered to every classroom that a serious threat to the safety of the students. The experts say oh well the campus has so many students comming and going in and out all day long how can we be responsible for everyone.? Maybe a warning for the students and instructors? The police thought oh well it is just these 2 poor dead people lets see who they are connected with here on campus? Meanwhile the shooter was having a cup of coffee at the student center cafeteria and someone should have warned the whole campus. They had 2 hours to shut down the campus and get the young people in there dorms where thy can lock themselves in until the police apprehend the killer. To find the killer,... instead they just lollygag around the one little room where the 1st killing happened not even a thought the guy was probably having a cup of coffee in the student center cafeteria. I am sorry for the ineptitude of authoritys to think beyond what is already there. I am sorry that prayer is the most we can do for the victims family and friends. In Columbine the cops were indecisive about what to do next so they stood around outside the building for 2 hours while the killing went on inside. Here the cops stood around 2 corpses for 2hours not a thought about a killer sitting right there in their midst having a cup of cofee.

Heh, join the club. Having a cold isn't fun at all. I'll pray that you will find work. =) I don't really have any personal prayer requests at the moment. Maybe you could pray for my husbands' military unit. They're shipping out to Iraq later this year. God bless and feel better soon, =)

Yes yes "where two or more agree together in My Name", Oh this breaks my heart! i was answering yahoo questions most of the afternoon, I didn't even know about it until you asked for people to pray. I'M soooo glad you did. I wished I could've known sooner, in Jesus Name, we agree! I just turned on CNN, and my heart is sick They showed a video that one one of students took of the second shooting, on a camera phone.

"Dear Lord Sweet Jesus, I ask You right now to reach down and comfort each one , we ask You Lord, to wrap Your Loving Arms around each family member, and to also comfort those other children that go to that school, and their parents, all their friends Lord, You know each one of their hearts, we agree together Lord Jesus, that you will give them strength to face this and show them how to respond to this. In Jesus Precious Name we pray, Amen!

God Bless this one too, Lord, who cared enough to write & and ask your children to pray.

Agreed. And thanks for asking for unity in prayer. It's a great suggestion. I know probably all of us have been praying, but there is so much strength in our unity of prayer. These horrible things will continue and increase as the day of the Lord approaches, and I don't know about you, but it grieves me to think of the families left behind and what they are going through....it's all so senseless. I pray God surrounds them all with His love & Spirit, & the angels to hold them up during this time. May He send caring people to them to minister in their time of loss. May they release any anger that will destroy them and find a purpose to carry on. May God be glorified as He gives them what they need for today. We unite, Lord, in your Name, and lift all these people up to you. Thank You for what You are going to do & accomplish in all our lives. Amen/

I just love it when people blame God for the evil men do. I'll pray for the families, the students and anyone else affected by this tragedy.

Psalm 34:18 "The LORD is there to rescue all who have a broken heart and have given up hope."

Psalm 147:3 "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."

Isaiah 61:1-2 "The Sovereign LORD has filled me with his Spirit. He has chosen me and sent me To bring good news to the poor, To heal the broken-hearted, To announce release to captives And freedom to those in prison. He has sent me to proclaim That the time has come When the LORD will save his people And defeat their enemies. He has sent me to comfort all who mourn,"

Jeremiah 31:13b "...I will comfort them and turn their mourning into joy, their sorrow into gladness."

Psalm 30:5 "...Tears may flow in the night, but joy comes in the morning."

Father God. We are dumfounded, shocked and weeping.
For these grieving families - for the families of the victims and the family of the shooter... I beg you father - keep Your arms tight around them. Comfort them, dear Jesus, God of all comfort. Relieve their pain, Father, I beg of You. Help them in all the days to come. Surround them with Your intense love.
In Jesus' name. Amen

Do you think that group prayer will help you understand why your god wanted this? Why would you pray against her will? I bet random murders of innocent people make you believe all the more that god loves you.
