It was way back in 1990 I was in CALCUTTA and when I had a massive heart attack in a place away from home say abut 250 km, I was taken taken to the hospital there and put into ICU. by some 4 never before seen people. Till I was stable they did not tell my wife or family and when I was discharged they personally accompanied me to my home at Calcutta. After 6 months when I had heart surgery they came and stayed in the hospital for 20 days. They even donated blood (fortunately all the four were of my blood group (O Positive) and after they saw me normal they left.
They have developed some sort of love and affection towards me and my family members and I also treat them as my very close relative. Even today though i have shifted to Bangalore about 2000km from their place they regularly correspond with me and get in touch with me. The all are from different caste (Though Hindus) from differnt places and speaking different languages etc.
Is it not the nicest thing ? What do you say for this relation?-

Since I have no family, 2 of my friends stayed with me before a major operation I have 10 years ago. I was so scared, but they held my hand and waited. And they stayed the long hours till it was over and were there when I woke up. God bless them. And people at my church came to be with me at home later. They cooked and did my laundry. I felt loved and that helped me to heal.
Another time when I was in my 20's and an Atheist, my mother died and I was all alone at the funeral home. These 2 young Christians that rented from my mother came and sat with me. I didn't know them well. They knew that I was not a believer, but they did not try to save my soul or pray. They just sat with me so I would not be alone. I have never forgotten that.

We had a huge illness in my family when I was about 16. I was just standing in a white hospital, staring at the wall, waiting. My friend put his arm around me and asked if I was okay. Then we went for a walk.
It's nothing great, but it's exactly what I needed.

Baruch HaShem you were alright!
The nicest thing anyone has ever done for me happened on Sunday--I was leaving for Washington D.C. at six in the morning so my boyfriend rode his bike to my house at 5 in the morning in the freezing cold (he lives 5 miles away) to say good bye, safe trip, and to come to the airport with me.

No specific event comes to my mind. It has just been the kindness of so many strangers that I couldn't list all of them here if I wanted to.
But just today, something really moved me. That so many people of different religions and nations rushed to offer their prayers for the health of TS's husband. To me, it shows again that the basic human nature is kindness and the first natural reaction is to help. And that the Universe is ultimately kind, too.
Love and blessings!

Hello Heron...
Well this might seem strange compared to your situation.... But the best thing anyone ever did for me was teach me the truth about God.... That He has a name.... That a person can actually get to know Him... That God will soon get rid of all the trouble in the world, including car wrecks.
I talked to you about His name already.... remeber?? Jehovah
Regards, Mike

Thank the Gods for that stranger!
Whoever donated their blood so I could have nine pints of it when I needed it, I would say.
