I hate it when I've been crying and then I have to go out into public. And I'm not one of those people who can cry for a while and then go out as if nothing happened. It's totally noticeable when I've been upset. Is there anything that can be done to minimize the puffiness and redness around my eyes? I know that a cold washcloth doesn't seem to do much, so I end up walking around with sunglasses on, but sometimes that won't work. Any suggestions?

This is a good tip( some times I cry a lot): If you had time dump a cloth or cotton pada in iced water(not just cold) and put in your eyes for about 2 minutes(always keeping dumping the cotton or cloth in iced water)and if you can you also can use a ice cube wraped in a clean cloth and make a little pression around the readess area of your eyes. when we cry we make our eyes make a lot effort to skeeze the tears, this is a exercice to our eyes and produce heat and redness the ice water will make then redness stoping because cool down the heat on the eyes area. The other thing you can use to minimize it is use of sun glasses.

I never found that the cold wash cloth thing never worked so use make up. If you pull you lower lid down you can see a small wet pink skin that sits right against your eye take a tissue and dab lightly across it to get rid of some of the watery look then put liquid comcealer below your eye to reduce redness. Then take a light foundation and put it along your bottom eyelash line like eyeliner and put it as close to your eye as possible. Put a little bit of foundation on your cheeks cuz they do get red. Thenfor some people like me, Thier lips get almost slightly puffy or red on the sides so put some concealer along the edges of your lips and maybe put a light color lip stick.

Hello: I hope that you are not crying a whole lot of times. I am wishing that you are happy and this isn't a reoccuring problem. I find it to be true if I go and wash my face so that there is no dirt or old makeup on it, put new fondation on it and maybe some makeup that it isn't as noticeable. Sometimes a fresh face looks better. Also, a smile helps too and a friendly conversation. I will pray for better days.

You poor thing! If you're emotional like I am, carry OTC eye drops like Clear Eyes or Visine with you at all times. Also, carry a couple green tea bags with you and soak them in room-temperature water, then apply them to the eye area to reduce skin redness and puffiness, making sure not to drip on your clothes. Remember that waterproof mascara! Bobbi Brown makes a good one.

Also, keep good trusted friends around you to brighten your spirits! NO sad movies! >:D<
