Why does someone living in the US only hear about Muslim terrorists...?

...When since 2002 there has been 1 count of kidnapping, 8 counts of arson, 11 counts of attempted bombing or arson, 40 counts of assault, and 44 counts of stalking on the part of Christian extremists?... One of the most notable of these would be the September 11, 2006 attempted bombing of a women's health center in Iowa in which a man drove his car through the doors of a clinic he wished to destroy... This clinic, for the record, did not preform abortions.

While, since 2002, the most extreme crime I've heard of a Muslim extremist committing in the US since 2002 has been smuggling cigarettes across (more taxed) state lines...

Are Christian terrorists just too incompetent at their attempted destruction to matter, or is the media scared of offending Christians by showing them these things?...

The implication was on US soil, Muslim extremism abroad happens all the time, it's well publicised, etc. History however has shown that America tends to care a LOT more about what happens on its shores, (9/11 and Pearl Harbor getting us to care while the current holocaust in Darfur not are examples of this) and very few, if any, Muslim terrorist activities have happened on US soil since 9/11.

Also note that I give specific instances here about activities IN AMERICA, there are more extreme groups elsewhere that are responsible for thousands of deaths... But that's entirely peripheral to my point.

The magnosity of September 11th overshadowed all the Christian extremist crimes put together...whether that should be the case or not. A huge mass killing leaves a greater mark than ten thousand small killings.

The principle is the same, though. The problem with organized religions is that they fight over the details and completely miss the big picture which they share. Christianity, Judaism and Islam all originated from the story of the murder of Able. A brother killing a brother. That set the stage for all future murders to be brother to brother, in a blind heat of ignorant rage. Maybe we could eventually learn to forgive and to not take everything out on one another. That is really what all the religions call for.

There are terrorist from every religion. people dont hear about the christianity because soo many ppl are christian and dont want to accept the fact that a christian yes a christian raped a person. u dont ever hear about muslims raping a little girl. But the only thing u hear about muslims is that they blow themselves up, however the people u see on the side of the street are militia fighters. they could be muslims but they are militia. Newscasters just say "muslim fighters: suicide attack killing tens of people".

Apparently someone covered these events you mentioned or you wouldn't have known about them so us not hearing would not be accurate.

I think the primary difference is what sells newspapers or makes for bigger ratings on tv and radio and on the net. That fact plus our governments attempt to keep the American people riled up about Muslims so we will support the various war efforts etc.....

I am 100% against the war in Iraq although I understand the global importance of it but I cringe everytime I hear of one of our soldiers killed or wounded. They are fighting for our country's best interests and as long as our government sees fit to keep them there, we owe them the best we can give them.

Funny thing here - I see no counts of murder (beheading, exploding, etc...), or for that matter, even attempted murder.

Maybe you're right - Christians need to get more murderous before they'll be noticed by the press!

Yeah, i could see many lies around us. And how thew made that into phenomenal news, Islam this!! islam that!! Koran, Jihad, Terrorist, Palestine.. I really fed up with this thing.
