I am definetly going with canon because now other brands compare with image quality.I have the a540 but I want to upgrade to a camera with image stabilization. The a540 takes great photos but sometimes things get blurred because of movement. All 3 of these have that. The a570 IS is the newest and has the Digic III processor. On the other hand the S3IS has alot better zoom with 12x optical. The a710IS has higher megapixels though 7.1 with 4x optical zoom.I am in a bind here please give some advice?I just want the best quality shot possible between these 3 cameras. What do u think which one should I get?

Unless you need and want the extra zoom, and don't mind the extra bulk, I would recommend the A710. It's a great camera, and I agree, the photo quality is better than the S3.

I LOVE my S3, but I was willing to sacrifice a bit of quality for the zoom, for the kind of photography I do.

So, all things being equal, and a 12x zoom is not crucial, check the A710 closer, including reviews, it sounds like what you want.

Check out this comparison page. Click on "In-depth review" and "Read Owner Opinions" for each camera. (The A570 is too new to have a review available yet.) Be sure to note that the reviews are many pages long so you don't stop after page one. Check the sample images, also. You can enlarge these to full size images if you click on the file name shown below the picture. You will have to then put your cursor in the white space to the right of the picture and click once. After that, you can pass your cursor over the image and it will turn into a magnifier. Click it as a magnifier once and the image will go to full size and you can really examine the detail or look for artifacts like fringing or noise. Personally, I think the A710-IS images are

The A710-IS has been called "the poor man's G7." I think it's your best choice from among these three cameras, unless you want the killer zoom of the S3-IS. My daughter has an S2-IS and it's a great camera, but I admit that the electronic viewfinder is a bit annoying to me. It's weird to have a microsecond lag in the viewfinder image. It is also the exact same price as the A570-IS (at B&H Photo) while having quite a bit more zoom in the telephoto lens. It's about fifty bucks less than the S3-IS, so it has value on its side. It's also quite a bit smaller than the S3-IS, which you might consider a virtue. Personally, I think the A710-IS images are better than the S3-IS. Look at the purple fringing on the edge of the main subject when there is a bright background.

i offered Canon PowerShot A710 IS 7.1MP digicam approximately 2 weeks in the past and that i'm very pleased with the digicam to this point. this is easy to apply appropriate out of the container and the image high quality is rather reliable. i admire the 6x optical zoom and the is incredibly enables with the digicam shake, enormously while making use of the zoom. The action picture mode is rather advantageous to boot.

The S3 is the best of the lot, but it's a lot more money. It's also a much larger size camera.
