It sounds like the boy at work has no life.
Many workplaces now prohibit people discussing things like alcohol, drugs, sex, and religion.
If you find his behaviour unacceptable or inappropriate within the workplace, tell him.
If he doesn't listen, tell someone higher up.
You have the right to work in peace without some goon preaching to you while you go about your business.
....and I don't see why this shouldn't be in the mental health section.
Religion should be a private thing.... someone who goes on and on about their religion obviously has mental issues.

Children do what they are taught to do. I would tell him I am not interested, and if he persisted I would walk away from him (over and over if need be for a day or 2). If he still persisted I would tell an HR person that I find his preaching offensive. I would not tell what my religion is unless asked directly - he is being disrespectful of others by going on about his own beliefs when politely asked to stop.

I can understand where you are coming from - your beliefs are your own, but you don't advertise them.
Now a little about the Christian faith - one of the commands we are to follow - is that we are to tell other people about our faith and our God.
This boy is impressed by what he has learned about God, and his enthusiasm is bubbling over into his conversation, hoping that you will also appreciate the good things God has created.
It appears that you have different beliefs and different priorities, and that you would prefer he didn't discuss his beliefs in your presence.
Might I suggest that you simply state this to him in a factual way.

Why do any religons flourish as they do. Because people spread the word to others. The same way you found out about your religon. Im agnostic..but more humanist than anything. Solve problems for yourself. Tell him you will pray to your gods to kill him or something. That would probably move him along pretty quick.

Tell him you are a Satanist, and will ask Satan to come and take him, unless he backs off and leaves you alone! (tell the others there FIRST that you aren't really, but you're tired of being bothered by him, and you thought it would put an end to it).
