It's ironic that a faith that "offers so much" has to keep repeating the offer like some late night TV carpet salesman.
It'd be a 'funny' world, okay.
Don't stop the cynical sarcasm, it's so refreshing to see.
You made my afternoon
Thanks
:)

As far as I am to understand, we are to share our beliefs..however if people do not want to hear that is their choice and we are not to bash people over the head. Some people like to go on about sport, politics, cars etc in often the same ways....however, when it comes to religion, people get up in arms and all they can say is we are pushing it..we like to discus it, it is a part of us, it is a commission to share it...perhaps those who protest so much and ridicule religion so much have a streak of jealousy in them..envy etc...because if they did not, they would not hang around specific places where religion is being discussed like chat rooms, forums and R&S here. Then there are others who have a lifes work of causing strife and disruption wherever religious people are. They would not like it if we all came to places set aside to discuss what interests them now would they.
So..I suggest we take more and more notice that these whiners of religion who cannot stay away from us and we study them closely.....they have no future after this life to look forward to..or the hope of one..this is it for them..and they choose to waste their years knocking religious people. Sad isn't it (nodding).

Buddhists, HA, when is the last time a Buddhist reached out and helped a person, they are the ones begging for the cash not giving it away, google Buddhist charities, Pagan charities and Christian charities and see who's out in the mud and mire helping people out of it, stating facts, that's a joke

I find it hard to imagine any religion with a bigger scare factor than those that are based on a vengeful god that has destroyed the world with a global flood, punished all mankind for a minor transgression of 2 people, and sends people to eternal torture if they are not perfect. Then promises to reward those who follow his ways....
Come to think of it, I can't think of much that would be funnier (or sadder) than the contorted logic of Biblical Literalists or wierder than those who "take up serpents" and other such sillness. (Google for "Holy Rollers" for examples).

if pagans and alt religions started doing what christians do? it is nearly impossible to do, because we don't belive in a hell most of us belive in karma, which is simply cause and effect. So we couldn't have the same result on them as they do on us, as that everyone knows that what goes up comes down (at lest on earth). We have nothing to threaten someone else with lol

in my opinion budhism is a teaching not a religion,
because it does not believe in a superior being (god) that create the universe...
it is a VERY good teaching on how human should "behave", the equilibrium of life/death, good/bad, etc....
maybe buddha was a prophet send by god to remind his creation how to live in this world?
p/s Luke is right, even in budhism, there are bad apples... i hv seen budhist in their yellow garment in Coffee Bean with high-tech mobile in hand!!! oblivious to the fact that their yellow garment is supposedly to show that they give up earthly material stuff to live a simple life of penance, purity for the betterment of this world....

that's the great thing about buddhists and pagans, darlin', we just don't proselytize. we have no need to win souls for god. that's a purely christian concept. so i think the question is either naive, or possibly a bad attempt at humor.
buddhists and pagans believe you have to find your own path to enlightenment....and that there are a lot to choose from. we're not in to the numbers game, and don't need to sell our god door to door.

It would probably more chaotic, diverse, and would probably turn a lot of people off to religion. And from the looks of all of that people would probably have an even lesser respect for religion in general.

Buddhists don't consider it their responsibility to save your soul. Many of us don't even believe in a soul, although I'm sure most do. Instead, it's your responsibility to create your own life. We're not indifferent, just respectful.

If Budhists and Pagans did that, they would no longer be Budhists and Pagans. Your question isn't even valid.
