I am a Gnostic Christian. Gnosticism is a personal religion that is based on the divine knowledge (gnosis) gained through individual experiences. We all have different experiences so I would not expect us all to have the same beliefs. I reject organized religions where everyone is expected to fit into the same cookie cutter mold. Life doesn't work that way, and I don't think that our paths to God are suppose to work that way either.

I believe that Jesus was a very wise teacher and spiritual guide, but he was not God. He was giving us instruction on how to awaken the Christ within each of us. If we seek we will find God within ourselves, then our whole perspective on life will change. It is a spiritual awakening, an enlightenment.

Creation is covered in Gnostic texts and it pretty much follows Genesis but with some major twists, one being that Yahweh is not God. He is a lesser creator deity, who rules over this realm of ignorance. However, I believe that religious texts are to be used for spiritual inspiration, not doctrine. The main point in Gnostic creation is that our true identity is not the material body, it is the spirit within. Our home is not this material world, it is the spiritual realm that we long for.

"I am now at Home, spiritually, though I remain a pilgrim and stranger in this world." ~Hebrews 11:13

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. He created me; he is the Creator of all the living. He is the author of all that is good. He is the Redeemer and the Sanctifier.

The Almighty Father, the Creator; his Son Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior; and the Holy Spirit, the Sanctifier.

The existence of the world and every person on earth are clear manifestations of the existence of God. The universe and people on this earth did not just drop here from no where. Someone must have created them. Indeed, Someone is greater than you and I and that's God.

First, let me say I neither believe nor disbelieve in God, or any other deity. I am an agnostic. I don't just believe, I KNOW that I exist.

I believe in the correctness of good logical reasoning, and the validity of conclusions drawn from irrefutable evidence. When it comes to God, I deem the evidence insufficient on both sides, so I make no conclusion.

Sure, it can be depressing to live life without believing in an omnibenevolent omniscient omnipotent being, but you know as well as anyone that the truth is not always what we want it to be. I refuse to lie to myself just so that I can feel comfortable in life.

If God does exist, I have no doubt God would want us to try to get along and respect one another, regardless of whether or not God exists. That is why religious wars are so ridiculous!

I also believe that if we refuse to assume the existence (or nonexistence) of God, that we will work harder to realize worthy goals in this world, such as, perhaps, an ultimate end to physical death.

I also wish more people would realize that the world's major religions do NOT have a monopoly on ethical behavior. It is absurd to claim that someone cannot be a good person if they do not attend a church every week.

Religion? I hate that word, (religion) but I'd say Christian. Personally I'm Evangelical Christian. I believe in the word of God I believe Jesus is the son of God and died for my sins. I believe he rose again and now sits at the right hand of the father. I believe he's coming back!

Created by my parents. From God through my mother I was born.

The bible gives us wisdom, understanding and the truths of God. How do i know it's real? Because every question to life is in there..and once you are saved the Holy Spirit of God explains everything to you and how to apply it to your life.

i do not believe in any religions. could you be more specific on my beliefs? i have beliefs about everything. i believe the simplest lifeforms, which i believe all life evolved from, started as a cosmic accident. i don't belief in religions because of a lack of proof and also i have no need to believe in them. everything i accomplished with religion i've been able to accomplish without it. there are too many religious beliefs i don't accept. i figure the earth was at one time a chunk of a larger piece of mass that just broke off.

The original, unchanged revelations given to Abraham and other prophets(like Moses and Jesus ) reaching back to Adam all came from the One True God(The Creator). This common origin explains their similarities in many beliefs and values

However, over time the teachings of the various religions, due to a variety of reasons, have become distorted and mixed with made-man ideas.

The last Prophet and Messenger of God, Muhammad , who is a direct descendant of Abraham through his first born son, Ishmael, was sent with the Last Guidance, Revelation and Testament, the Holy Qur'an(koran) to amend and correct the changes and corruption made to the the "Torah" which was sent to Moses and theTrue Gospel of Jesus. To say the truth ,God preserved all the other Holy Books plainly by preserving His Last Book the Holy Qur'an(koran)which contains the right and the truth of all that was changed in those other Books.

This is why this last Revelation which was sent 1423 years ago has remained unchanged, not even a word or a letter has been altered.

There is not even one word of difference between two Arabic Qur'ans, anywhere in the world. There has been no disagreements in history among Muslims as to what should and should not be in the Qur'an. However, in the case of the Bible, even the most ancient manuscripts conflict with one another so that no two are identical. Footnotes in all modern versions of the Bible prove this fact.

These revisions serve as concrete proofs that all the Biblical books are not at all divinely inspired. This is because it is beyond man's ability to correct the work of his Creator, who alone is Almighty and perfect

It was only natural for Almighty God to preserve the scripture revealed to Prophet Muhammad, because he was the last Prophet and Final Messenger of God.

Islam teaches us that we must pray directly to God without an intermediary and no soul can bear the burden of another and that the nature of humanity is good, and we did not inherit sin from Adam. Each soul comes into being free of sin.in Islam there are no priests or clergy -- each worshipper, man or woman, has a direct relationship with their Merciful Creator -- Almighty God. Since God is the Owner and Sustainer of everything, as well as the only one who can provide true and complete forgiveness, it is completely futile to try to approach Him through anyone else.

The oneness and universality of God's message requires that people accept all the messengers of God. Rejecting one of them amounts to rejecting them all. The Jews reject Jesus's mission and Muhammad's mission; the Christians reject Muhammad's mission; whereas the Muslims accept them all, but reject incorrect historical interpretations and human elements in these missions.

As the Qur'an is the final revelation and Muhammad is the final prophet, humanity is obligated to accept it: "If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost all spiritual good" (3:86).

The Final Prophet Muhammad said: "Whoever believes there is no god but God, alone without partner, that Muhammad is His messenger, that Jesus is messenger of God, and that Paradise and Hell are true, shall be received by God into Heaven."

you can do that now as you are reading these lines is to pronounce the two confirmations and attestations of faith, here it is

I BEAR WITNESS THAT THERE IS NO GOD WORTHY OF WORSHIP EXCEPT ALLAH ( ARABIC WORD MEANS ONE GOD-THE CREATOR). AND I BEAR WITNESS THAT MUHAMMAD IS HIS SERVANT AND MESSENGER. I BEAR WITNESS THAT JESUS IS HIS SERVANT AND MESSENGER.

The right picture of lslam is conveyed in the Qur'an, which is exemplified by Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. The reality is that it is not fair to judge a religion by the actions of its followers alone because there are good and bad followers in every religion. The correct thing to do is to judge a religion by its documented revelation from God and the prophet who brought that revelation.

I encourage Christians and other religions to learn about Islam from Muslim sources and The Basis Of The Muslim Belief and not rely on second hand information which in many cases is distorted or contains a deep seated anti Muslim agenda. This is indeed a more scholarly approach

I believe in the bible. It is the only book writen by over 40 authors without any contradictions, the only book writen over a thousand year timespan, the only book to make correct prophasies, and it has all the answers to life. It tells you what you should and should not do in relationships, money issues, buisness, and just life in general.
But you arn't saved by saying a prayer before you eat, going to church every Sunday, and following a bunch of rules. no! When Jesus (God's son) died on the cross he payed for all the wrong things you (and everyone else) did and ever will do in your life. the only reason Christians follow rules is because it makes our heavenly father happy. when we sin it grieves him because he made us to honor Him and we are all down here doing wrong stuff.
And the ticket to heaven is free! all you have to do is realize that you have sinned and ask for forgiveness. but you have to mean it! you need to give your life to God for Him to work through you in whatever way He wants. Then once this happens sincerly then you will go to heaven when you die.
Anyone who doesn't believe in God or doesn't ask God for repentance will go to hell because they did not repent for their sinful lives.
but God doesn't take pleasure in throwing souls into hell. He wants us all to be saved from hell and live with him in heaven. He loves us so much more than any love we know here on earth. That's why he sent His son to die in our place. see WE are the ones that deserve death for all the wrong things we have done in our lives but God loves His creation too much for that to happen.
sorry I went off on a tangent. back to your questions now. I believe that God created the earth and us in 6 literal 24 hour days like it says in Genesis. Basicly any religion that does not match up with the Bible is wrong. I know that sounds very harsh and exclusive but it's true. God wants us to live our lives for HIM not Allah or Budah or any other god.

I'm sorry that that was so long and I hope I helped. I BARELY scratched the surface of what christianity truly is though. I sugest that you study into this more. It could mean the difference of you spending the rest of eternity in heaven or hell. If you TRULY study all the religions out there with an open mind (minds are like parachutes... they only work when open) and do all your homework then you will find the bible to be true. but beware. many religions say their bible is the "true" translation but they have just twisted the hebrew to say what they wanted it to say. Good luck, God Bless and I'll be praying for you!

I am a Christian and believe that the world and everything else was created by God. I also believe that Jesus of Nazareth was the Son of God and that he taught, died and was resurrected so mankind would get a second chance at eternal life.
