Please don't even start in on this kind of crap. That was a terrible tragedy and religion does not need to be dragged into it. Leave it alone, it's too soon.

Edit: And you do know your name means Lesbian in Japanese anime, right? Just wondering.

No idea. Some rumors say he was a Chinese student with a visa. One of the witnesses in the rampage described him as a 6' Asian male wearing a bulletproof vest.

I have no idea what his religion is. But I am an atheist, and I abhor murder.

This is a tragedy. I live only a couple of hours away from Virginia Tech. I hope that Atheists, Christians, and other groups can unite in our condemnation of this horrible act.

He was a Chinese national going to college in the USA on a visa.
What difference would it make if he was an athiest? What difference would it make what nationality he was? Or what country he came from? He was a mentally unstabled young man! And mentally unstabled people come from all walks of life, all cultures, all countries.

That's the stupidest assumption.

Nobody knows yet, but, due to the experience, it's more likely to be a believer than an atheist. We all know many insane crimes are committed in the name of what ever god.

His name hasn't even been released yet. A few of the morons here started making that claim earlier.

It's not impossible, but let's wait and see who he is before jumping to conclusions.

Religious people can be just as "malicious" and life-taking as those that aren't. Maybe even moreso. Just look at the Radical Islamist thing, or the Crusades, for example.

It hardly matters. When a person is insane, any religious affiliation or lack thereof which he formerly professed is no longer relevant.
