It takes time, you won't notice an overnight event. I have been baptized 3x's, because the churches I went to didn't accept my baptisim from other churches, now that I knwo the truth for myself I am getting baptized or the truth this time, for Jesus Christ & his fathers kingdom, I've been studying with the Jehovah's Witnesses for over 3 years now, but each day you learn more about God & later down the road you can look back & say ,"Hey I spiritually grew in this area...."
The difference between my "for real" baptisim & the past?I grew in accurate knowledge of the bible so this baptisim isn't all about joining an orginization, but it is about serving my God faithfully, an outward sign.. keep at it & you will grow.

Why did you get baptized?
What was your purpose for getting baptized?
Was it your idea or your church's?
Baptism is an outward action to show your commitment to God.
Perhaps you were not ready for this action.
You must develop a personal relationship with the Creator, be connected to the life force of the universe.
The Holy Spirit is there with you to guide you in your spiritual walk.
I pray the love of God will guide and lead you.

I think you need to ask yourself..."why did I get baptized?" Was this something you truly wanted to do as an outward display of your committment to Christ or was it just something you thought you should do?
Getting baptized in itself is simply getting wet. It is supposed to symbolize the washing away of sins and the emergence of the new person. Was that your mindset at the time? Only you can answer your question.

Most people don't have a mystical experience at their baptism. Some do, but many do not. There is a deep part of you that has changed. Over time as you mature in the faith you will start to see this change in yourself. Read the psalms, the gospels. Listen to Christian music. Spend some quiet time each day alone with God. You are just a baby in the faith, you will grow. Before you know it, you will see the small changes that God has made in your life.

First let me begin by explaining the purpose of baptism.
Going into the water symbolizes our old selves in Adam dying on the cross with Jesus.
Being brought back out of the water symbolizes being resurrected with Christ as a brand new child of God.
You cease being a descendant of Adam which means that part of you no longer exists and you become a descendant of Christ who is alive in Heaven.
Now before Jesus fills you with the Holy Spirit he has to make sure your clean so he goes to work taking away all of your sins by forgiving them.Once your clean your filled with the Holy Spirit and are in a sense connected to the tree of life.Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. All those who are filled with the Holy Spirit will go to Heaven.
Were you completly submerged or did they only sprinkle water on your head?Jesus gave a perfect example of how we should be baptised when he himself was by John the Baptist.I don't think you should place much emphasis on 'feelings' instead know you are saved and love the Lord with all your heart.
Right now your like a brand new baby,an infant who was just born.Your not going to know very much but as you grow and mature you will learn more and the more you learn the closer you will feel to our Heavenly Father.
I would also like to add that Satan likes to control people by inflicting them with certain emotions.People who allow their emotions to tell them how to act are ripe for the picking as far as Satan is concerned. He will make you feel angry so you lash out at a loved one,or he'l make you feel sad or depressed so you think God has deserted you.Or worse,he could make you feel so bad you'll want to kill yourself. So be careful how much emphasis you place on how you feel.Use your mind instead. If you feel doubt or sadness or anything else creeping in say "In the name of Jesus Christ get thee behind me Satan!"

Just because your baptized doesnt mean your automatically become perfect in your spirituality. God wants an intimate relationship with you and we all know...relationships need constant attention and sacrifice. You have to surrender all in order to fully understand the beauty of our God.

Because you aren't choosing to feel different. Did you get baptized for someone else besides or in addition to yourself? Did you do it looking for a quick fix or renewal?

It's OK. You have taken a tremendous step. Now get your new life off to a good start by following the ten commandments, read your bible, find some good discipleship training.

hahaha! the holly water wasn´t holly enough...there is no reason you should feel diferent if you got baptized jut now in life is becase you prolly had some conviction that you should, not becase you expected some power to be granted to you.
