Anyone could have locked down the college after the first two murders but, the Christians in charge wouldn't. It would mess up the university budget. They're probably saying, "God told me not to halt classes."

Right... blame God. Anything bad happens, blame God. Forget about the guy that pulled the trigger. Forget about the authorities that didn't try to stop the guy in a timely manner. Forget about whatever happened in his life that set him over the edge.
I too often hear atheists and God-haters claim that people of faith credit God for good things that are either accidents, or else the result much hard work on the part of human beings. How ironic that those who deny God ever did anything good for anyone... those same critics of God are the first to blame God for whatever suffering occurs.
Let me be sure I understand this... you're saying that if good occurs, that's the result of human effort? But if bad happens, then that's God's fault? Sorry, I don't buy it.
Besides, people of faith know that we have not been promised that everything would be easy. We have been promised that in faith we have hope. I can honestly say I don't understand what meaning there is in innocent blood being shed. But I am confident that many hurting families are comforted by the hope that God was with their loved ones in their moments of greatest terror... and there is hope that their loved ones are with God now and eternally.
There may be times when people of faith come across to non-believers as arrogant. That's wrong, and there have been times when that attitude has angered me, too. But what's really behind that (even if it doesn't come across the right way) is compassion for people who have no hope in their lives.

Last time I checked V Tech was a state ran school and the liberals and atheist wont allow God in in schools and government based on the falsely used phrase separation of church and state. Allow God to be first in our lives, our schools and our country like He belongs and this will stop. When we prayed to an all powerful God and read His word daily in schools kids were not killing each other. Do you really believe our kids are safer and better off sense we took God out of school? The numbers say no.

the reason is because we all have free will and to blame 'god' or a christian god for that matter is ridiculous. that shooter killed people because he/they were destined to kill and those other people were destined to die its that simple..
we really need to stop with this blame game BS and just take responsibilities for our own actions....
...are you gonna help bury any of the people?? if not then you should stop getting on your soap box like you know something more than the rest of us humans on the planet.
and the shooter wasnt caught because our government is too damn lazy too do anthing for this country unless there is OIL involved...

Instead of questioning GOD, you need to think about maybe he is coming for the Christians soon. Why blame Him when something like this happens. He didn't give the guy the gun and tell him to go kill people.
The decade of the gun? Well what did they have and use 150 years ago while this country was being discovered and made into what we call America? I am sure a lot of innocent people were killed then because of claim jumpers, and the World Wars, the Civil War, the Korean War, the Vietnam War. The bible says there will be wars and wars, and rumors of wars. All the ones who avoid the bible and say it isn't true, have not read it or studied it. It's prophecies are coming true.
I just read you last comment. You cannot be serious. You write plays, so you must have a very vivid imagination.

God might not be a Christian, first of all. And god is not separate from all that exists in balance. That's probably why. God is everything. Without negative, we would never know positive.

here are a few thoughts...
perhaps those that died are the lucky ones...they have escaped worse things to come.
perhaps those that died were haters and mockers of GOD...in which case, they got what they deserved.
does the clay demand an accounting of the potter? our CREATOR has every right to do as HE sees fit, wether we approve or not, wether we believe in HIM or not.
GOD is concerned with the care of HIS children...all others are left to chance...and truthfully, it is their own choice.
you cant kick GOD out of your life then demand HE protect your loved ones...it simply doesnt work that way.

There is only one God by the way
its not the "Christian God"
He is just the one God.
and the answer is becasue God give people free will,
and what ever everyone does with their free will and life
will be judged on the Day of Judment.

It is not God's intention that these young people die. In fact, it grieves God seeing our misery like this. The work of darkness has prevailed among many people today, making them brutal in their actions. Where do we want to belong - on God's side or on the Evil one? Peace and harmony begins with the individual person. If one is favoring peace and harmony, then he is on God's side.

I can't believe most of what I read in here tonight on this question...Most of you need to read a bible. You cannot know anything about GOD unless you meet him first. And you can't know God without first receiving Jesus into your heart declaring yourself a sinner and asking for his forgiveness and believing that he died on a cross for your sins. He took the sins of the whole world. Therefore he DID NOT send a gunman into Virginia Tech and commit a massacre. God is in more pain than you seem able to acknowledge here. God is weeping over losing his children in such a hideous act.
The times we live in now.....God is shaking the tree folks...
The trumpets are going to sound and SOON.
Will you put you hand in the nail scarred hand and follow him.?
What do you stand for? What can you do to stop this in your own communities.? Who have you been kind to today?
Did you know about the people that are poring acid on children and in the parks where they play....God didn't do this either.....It's time to get on your knees folks...And ASK God to help us restore ourselves to HIM. He's waiting with open arms and all the love you could possibly imagine. The bible tells us that when sin entered into the world it changed everything...Lucifer was the one thrown out of heaven. His sole/soul purpose is to take as many as he can to hell with him. The bible tells us he goes about like a mighty lion devouring those that he can...WELL I think he got a belly full today don't you.?..And God will use this incident for his glory....stay tuned people, there will be something to glorify God when it's all done. Faith grows out of learning about God. God is our HOPE for all things.. If you have no faith, I will pray for you to look upwards and ask God to show you the truth.
