Linguine is generally better with cream sauces, spaghetti with tomato sauces. I actually prefer thin spaghetti to either one.

linguine is thicker but I would think it would depend on how they were made, is it whole wheat past or regular. What brand etc. different variables will cause different answers.

stronger how? they are both made from the same dough. linguini is just thicker/wider than spaghetti. And equally as tasty. I use them rather interchangeably.

linguine is wider and holds more sauces, etc....it's better for pasta dishes with hearty ingredients.
