It could mean that he is really interested in you and is trying to prove it to you.
I would be a bit wary of a guy with an obsessive interest in your hair though. Ever noticed the general lack of interest in girls that male hair care professionals have?

I think it shows he is paying close attention to you! If he doesn't comment about it he may feel like he may insult you or something. Make sure you always wear your hair the way you want to and not for a guy unless he asks for you to be special for him.

No offense meant here but why are girls running their lives by what men think? Who care if he notices, I mean they should, if they ever look at you but honestly who cares. I do my hair for me, no one else. Life has so many more important things to worry about.

if it was a small subtle change, then he is paying a lot of attention to you. if it was a big change, well everyone notices that.
