A beauty package (creams, powder, body mist, bath salts/oils etc)
A display of her fav flowers
A bunch of lollypops!!
A nice necklace, earings or bracelet
A nice hairpiece
A frame with a home made pic & poem
A nice crystal cluster or hanging crystal/sun catcher
A compilation of her fav music/songs
A nice wine glass or goblet
A signed pic of her fav musician/actor (usually found on ebay, be sure to get certificate of authenticity & make sure it is not a reproduction of an original autograph)
A nice candelabra or just a couple of nice candles
A scrapbook of memories or a scrap book with pictures of her fav things.
A personalised bottle of wine with her name on it (can be expensive though)
Have fun :o)

The hostess was, perhaps, overstepping by giving the bride's measurements, as it does imply that giving lingerie is absolutely required. It certainly isn't. A party is not the same as a shower, and doesn't absolutely require a gift. I am sure, however, that the bride would love a little something. If you don't want to spring for lingerie, you could give a nice scented lotion, a little sex book, or some other fun gift. For my party, one guest (a close friend), gave lingerie, lotion, AND a sex game, another gave a small set of lotions, another gave a silly (obscene) hat, and a few gave nothing at all. I did not have any negative thoughts about those who gave no gifts - in fact, I put them slightly above the silly hat lady, to be honest. :-) Really, it was all fun and there were no hard feelings. Furthermore, I think if some of those people had been invited to my shower (they weren't, since my shower was planned by a relative of my husband), they might not have given anything. (Giving shower, bachelorette, AND wedding gifts can really add up.)

A gift certificate to her favorite store...

A spa set (candles, lotions, scented bath oil etc.)...

A bottle of wine and a couple wine glasses (if she is seeing someone or is married)...

A gift certificate for 2 to a nice resturant (see above for stiulation)

If she is a wild girl or has a good sense of humor you can get her a gift certificate to an adult shop.... My oldest sister gave my bachelorette party I gave her a Spa Set with an Fredrick's of Hollywood Gift Certificate tucked in the bottom... When she found it she called me to tell me thanks but wouldn't tell me what she was going to buy.... although I am sure her hubby enjoyed whatever she chose... :)

Not sure what the role of hostess actually is seperate from your maid of honor. Usually this is one of the jobs of the maid of honor! If it is someone else, send her a gift card or something like that. Maybe see what she is into and make her a gift basket...for example if she is into crafts make a basket up with things she would need for her crafts. Make sure you do send her a personalized thankyou note from your heart!!

Hosting a bachelorette party is one of the duties of your maid- of-honor. No gift is required. She receives her gift when the rest of the wedding party receives theirs. Being as she has more responsibilities than your other attendants, her gift is usually something a little more elaborate( as her bouquet is), than your other attendants.
